Ive been running 32.5 front and 27.5 rear losi oil and if on stock springs go to the far outer hole on the arms front and rear.

balancing will be great on bumpy tracks. you may have to make some changes to your setup to use the springs on the truck now. what rates did you end up with again?

Surprisingly that's almost exactly where I ended up using Fred's balancing proceedure.
The Losi oils are a bit heavier than Ae oils so I'm just a tad light than you.

To get the "balance" of the springs I did move the front shock to the outer upper hole. The rear is in the stock position.

The springs I'm using are just a bit heavier than the stock Tekno springs so logically you would think I'd need to go up a bit in oil weight, but instead I'm a little lighter than stock and it feels fantastic. Fred does mention that there is no perfect oil weight but rather a range of oil weights that will work for any given springs. Hopefully I'm at the lower end of that range. I'd love to be able to run silghtly lighter oil to handle the rough sections of the track better and slightly stiffer springs to improve the trucks ability to handle the jumps.

The Xray progressive springs I used on the front are simply rated as soft/soft. The Serpent spring I used on the rear is rated at 5.8.

Just by compressing them with your fingers both springs feel just a step or two heavier than the Tekno springs. I think the ratings aren't comparable. The Tekno pink rear spring is rated at 2.38 and theres no way that the Serpent spring I replaced it with is more than twice that.

Any idea when TKR5013 will be in stock?

Yea, I was able to check the Tekno site. It wasn't working earlier today, but was about an hour ago. Every place I looked is out of stock.

Just got done with my first practice night with my new SCT410. I gotta say, it exceeded all my expectations So much fun and drives great right out of the box. I ran the bone stock setup per the manual, jumped well, hooked up good, and those big shocks soaked up all the funky bumps and pot holes no problem. About the only thing I noticed that could use some tuning was the slow speed turning, it seems to push a little or understeer. But, I am coming from a 2wd SC10 which oversteers like crazy so I probably just need to get used to the 4x4 steering behavior.

Do you remember the first time you did it and how much it affected your setup if you had to make other changers to get back what you needed on the rest of the car? What spring rates do you have balanced now? and what car? I think most stock setups out of the box would be very close to balanced. and that this is to get the car back in line after much messing with springs.

Vegatron action last night on a new layout. Ignore the doof behind the camera,lol He's a local hot shoe in the 4x4 buggy class that films alot with his phone, but a real good guy. Vegatron is warming up for the March Mahem race this weekend.

Ok ran my truck for the first time last night and I have to say it's amazing I put 4 battery packs thru it and it never missed a beat. Here is my problem I set the truck up box stock and it seemed to be very close but I am fighting a loose condition I know some of it is due to the tires but I think I need to do a little tuning to get the rear end to settle down anyone have any suggestions my ride height is set at 26mm and my camber is -1.
