Got the front shocks together, debating to go standard or emulsion. Hope to have the truck done today!

Is there anything that needs to be changed from stock? Or is the truck set to go out of the box as far as parts go.
Any mods need to be done?
Anything to look out for?
Build tips?
What motors 4 pole or 550?
Any other info.
Thanks
Steven - If you want to test drive one come to Island tomorrow and you can race mine in 4wd SCT - I wasn't planning to run the class. Tekno 410 with a Tekin Pro 4 4600 and RX8. It'll give you a baseline for your buying decisions. No need to let me know in advance - I'll have it with me in any case.

Honestly the range of gearing available and how the drivetrain seems to not stress the motors in comparison to my previous SCT (SC10 4x4), I don't see a need to change at all from my Tekin 4600Kv Pro4 motor as far as useable power goes. I ran this motor in doors carpet, 50 x 50 tight track where similar motor would feel like too much on the sc10 4x4 and it was perfect, temps in the 120s.

Really digging the HB grey springs front/rear with 40/35 oils...truck was planted all night and if it wasn't for some traffic issues late track lap record was within reach...
+1 on the springs. I really liked how they felt on the truck in general.

And as a final follow up to the issue I had with the chassis, Ebay took care of it and I am whole again. Hooray! Thanks again for everyone's support!

maizer: The HobbyWing 4000kv or 4700kv SCT motors can not be beat. Whole lot of power and they run very cool. They are 2/3rd's the price of most other SC motors. The solder posts on them are slightly annoying, but that is their only fault.

BTW, same recommendation goes for the Hobby Wing Xerun SCT-Pro ESC. I have had great luck with it and the 150 Xerun 1/8th scale ESC. Been running them for over a year now.

I saw these on the AKA site

http://www.raceaka.com/TRAXXAS-SLASH...SET_p_166.html

im thinking since the Tekno aluminum 12mm hexes are actually made for the slash, wouldnt these 17mm adaptors work on the SCT410.

In the description is states that the stock width and steering remains with the kit.

Thoughts ?

I saw his name pop up last night for racing. JBRL isn't broadcasting scoring today . I'd like to see how he does. We have a couple new drivers, Nick and Chris Blais. They are both running the SCT410 and the EB48 today.

the tekno hexes are made for the slash if it's using tekno driveshafts/stub axles (which are a mm thicker). those aka adapters would have to be drilled out and then it looks like it would give too much off set.
