Hmm, your right. Example comes to mind while watering the garden, a finger on the hose increases the water jet speed.
As for taller gearing, I am already running a 14T bell (factory 13). Should I go to a 15T instead? Will that be too much to spool up? I already have the m2c steel flywheel on order, and already running softest springs (red) ont he aluminum m2c wheel. I love my xb9 cant wait for the new one launching tomorrow, then the older chassis goes electric

.Hmm - the B5 in the XB9 must be a hauler down low.
Depending on track size and tightness going to a 15T might be too much.
You could try changing the spur gear. This will give you around half the change in gearing that going to a 15T would. Might be more do-able ?
I'm not familiar with the M2C clutch system sorry, so of no help to you there.
I know you already run the M2C, but the Werks clutch is worth looking at if you ever decide to change. Very tunable and shoe life is just obscene on these clutches
.Don't know what pipe your runing, but maybe going to a smoother pipe on the bottom end would help to tame the beast - 2057 with short header maybe ?
With the B6 Pro and 2058 pipe in the XB9 I couldn't be happier. This motor is so smooth but pulls so hard it's incredible - then there is the top end

Let me know how you get on with the gearing changes - be keen to hear how it performs.

. I also ran the 37 gram steel flywheel (0.9 red springs/softest shoe) and its a world apart from the sliding uncontrollable monster my car was before. Handles awesome, feels almost electric with a bit more top end car is super plush and w.r.t. gearing, I left my spare spur at home and the current one on the car was stripped already (was trying a kyosho plastic spur duh). So had to make do with a hot bodies 48T (thats all my shop had). The snap with the 48T/13T was awesome as well the heavier wheel is a must with the xb9 and b5 IMHO now for me
. I run on a mid to high traction indoor clay track (deltarc winter track on youtube).

For maximum bottom end go with the 2013 - For more run time and top end go with the Werks 2058 pipe.
Guys on here are getting 10 min tanks with the 2013 no problem it seems.
We can't run the 2013 pipe here in New Zealand (as it's no longer IFMAR approved), but we are getting wicked performance out of the B5 Pro with the 2058 pipe, and 11 minutes run time on engines with barely more than half a gallon through them.
The B5 Pro (and B5) are very staunch in a truggy. Wicked bottom and mid range power with plenty of top end as well.

I'm looking for an accurate way to measure the .5 idle gap. I've seen some here before but can't search with my phone. I was thinking I could use calipers on the outside ends of the carb. Or is there a good way by counting turns/hours on the idle screw from closed? Thanks. Btw put about 6 tanks through our new b5pro tonight, headed out to get some more tomorrow to be ready for this weekend.

My point is, find an object, like a safety pin or whatever, to use....
