I'm being told a 3500-4000kv 4 pole motor is not a good idea in an SC10.. Am I hearing right? I was considering the castle 3800kv or perhaps the hobbywing 4000kv.

i should have wrote that better,i ran a 6.5 in 4wd buggy and it was a handful,i could only imgaine a 6.5 in 2wd would be a white knuckler at times

I run a 3600kv 4 pole in my sc10 and it awesome....plenty of power

You're not Chad Due. You're going to run out of talent long before he does. His vehicles are also very finely tuned with countless hours of tracktime and experimentation, and a seemingly endless reservoir of tuning knowledge. His vehicles can do things most can't.

Well, I apologize then. I just saw 12 posts, and asking newb questions like "what gearing?", using a big motor on a small low traction track and a smaller motor on a big high traction track, along with blanket statements about what everyone uses, and some name dropping, and assumed you were new. There's a lot of them here and they usually make those same kinds of statements. So again, I apologize.
