Tekno RC EB48 Thread

Thats good to hear check out t bone racing they make rear skid plates for eb48 also front skid plate / pro bumber looks like this one could provide better protection to chassies covers more of it then what comes with the kit see what you think!
Also can i ask why you bought two kits do you think that you will break 500 dollars worth of parts isnt cheaper to buy parts as you need them from amains their cheap for small orders and fast postage seems like alot of money waiting to be used in spare parts!

I actually got my TBR skid plates for front and back today too. I ordered them before I ordered the buggies, they were fairly slow to get them into the post. I have them on the Vorza so I got them again for the EB48.

Maybe I'm a little crazy with this buggy but with part support locally non existent I checked out the prices and figured a whole car as backup will be nice. Down the line I may set up the other once I see how things go for me parts wise.

What are the part numbers of front and rear skids from tbr!

57002 & 57004 are the ones I got. The smallest ones. Not sure if the do the bigger ones for the EB48.
If I don't break much, and I hope not too, I'll run the other car with different ESC and motor probably.
I do have a serious lack of time problem to do the build, but I'll get there. Things were pretty busy and then I got into RC!

The sct pro can run pretty much any motor with a 4s lipo. My motor is a long rotor 4 pole 2200kv truggy motor, and it's a handful. My sct pro handles the setup beautifully. I don't notice the 150a vs 120a sct pro esc running different really. I choose the sct pro because it is smaller and easier to access programming input. The sct pro is an esc that will blow your mind, I bet you'll ditch your rx8. Hw sensored esc's are so smooth, easy to adjust, and unbelievably cheap.
I have no ties to HW btw. I've had 4 Hw esc's and 2 Hw motors, all of them have been great. If I were you I'd drop the $90 on the sct pro and it'll be a bit less of a headache.
Just remember the sct pro isn't rated above 4s, so take that into account.

That's weird ! My motor is exactly 41.78mm in diameter ( hpi flux 2200kv ) and it needed to remove around 2-3mm from two of it's cooling fins in order to fit probably because the screw in the middle of chassis ( all showing in pictures on post #. 4489 at link below ) prevented the motor from setting correctly .

Thanks a bunch.
Now this definately made me think twice, would a SCT pro be enough to power a 4 Pole monster? just want to know the pros and cons, other than that of the Burst and constant power. is the foot print. is the difference negligible when it comes to delivering power?.... or there is a significant difference?

Or would you have been better of with 57001 which acts as a bumper and skid plate in one from tbr!

Question for you the front skid plate 57002 can you still use the front bumper supplied with kit to have that curved up protection up front ! Can the kit bumper be screwed together with 57002 aswell !
Or would you have been better of with 57001 which as a bumper and skid in one from tbr!

Yes ok I thought so but can you still screw 57002 and kit front bumper together I like the fact that the 57002 protects the chassies further down its longer thus more protection I also noticed that the 57002 has some long screws up front shorter in middle and shorter again at the end of skid so iam thinking they may be able to be put together to form a great bumper / skid combination!

You may be able to screw the 57001 pro bumper with 57002 aswell ! hence the 57002 has longer screws in middle and shortest at the end of 57002

Ok so you are saying the 57002 can be screwed together with kit bumper hence the longer front screws in the front of the 57002
