Flat side up and I run the kyosho bladders as those never collapses, this gives a very consistent shock.

Hi shajohan,

Have you completed the x7 drive train in you x6? If yes, are there improvements on the car in anyway? And please post all the parts needed to complete the upgrade. Sorry if i seem to ask too much, i'm quite new in rc cars and don't wanna miss anything while ordering overseas(and that's if you say it's worth the upgrade).

Thanks a lot for any help i can get, cheers.....

they might be refering to the cut on the ring/pinion gears? I thing the new car has a different cut? Maybe not spiral cut anymore..Alsong as the bearing sizes didnt change you should be able to convert the f/r diffs? Only thing I wanted from the new car was the tank wich doesnt fit

not complete yet. front rear x7 parts still in shipment...
i dont think it will gain much performance but, believe it gain abit since it lightweight and straight cut gear type..
there are alot factor makes x7 planted...

x7 drivetrain upgrade parts

E2201 DIFF CASE 3 pcs front rear center
E2202 CONICAL GEAR 2 pcs front rear
E2204 BEVEL GEAR 2 pcs front rear
E2206 GEAR SPURS 1 pcs
cost you hundred bucks..
if budget doesn't matter i would advice you to get optional conical n bevel so when you owned x7 kit you still have the optional gearing...

Why not just get a Tamiya tank. You just need to drill one hole. Other than that it is a perfect fit in the buggy.

Thanks a lot for the details man, so the parts you've put is everything needed for the whole x7 upgrade? Hope you can finish the whole drivetrain upgrade and give me some heads up about the performance difference, cuz if it's really not much i think i'll pass since it's kinda costly and i'm a bit budgeted...

Oh btw, do you mean i should get the conical n bevel gears on top of what you've posted? Or that's just another upgrade intended for the x7? Sorry if the question seems stupid.

if you have a scale it would be nice to know how much lighter the drivetrain swap is in grams. i also see it accelerating faster and also running freer with the straight cut gears. the rotating mass is always worth it if you can lower it not only should the car be faster you should gain a little runtime too

I have seen pics of where people have used springs on their break calipers.
Dose anyone have a link as to where you can get these from?
Cheers.
