YUP! trucks is a lightweight tank and pretty hard to damage. My 7 year old runs mine and has been for a few months now and has only broken a ballstud!

I would get swaybars for sure.

it is a tank, before I found a deal on selling mine, I thought of doing just that for my 9 year old daughter.

Good I have little to worry about since you said it was a tank.
Im just worried about not being able to compete against the Losi.
I like alot of Losi stuff, just dont feel thier 4wd Corr truck isnt all that good.
I bought the 5K and 20k Diff Fluid, blue paint for the body, and CA glue for my tires today. I should have the kit tomorrow.

Its a SC10 4x4 isn't it?
With mods no different than the exotek chassis or m2c toe block, its something being tried to improve performance on the SC10 4x4 so nothing changed my mind.
I'm not in here spamming the thread, being the instigator or posting media for anything not pertaining to the SC10 4x4 from electronics to hardware.
I am interested in mods or equipment that will improve or is being tested on the SC10 4x4.

I've read this thread from the first page to now and in the last 200 pages 70% of the drama has been from you and other members extreme dislike for you. The other 30% has been the 8mm mod, and random clutter.

I'm here to talk about the SC10 4x4, not to get into a pissing match with a geriatric member who is disliked both on the forums and at his local track............
Some of the info you've given has been helpful for that that much thanks but the majority of your posts contradict themselves and are easily disregarded by verifiable data from other members or data that can be duplicated and shown to be true.

I'm running RX8 and the Tekin Redline 4.5, it works great. The trucks with the Pro4 seem to be faster but mine is plenty fast. My current setup pretty much matches Max Flueur's setup (on AE site) from the 2012 Psyco Nitro Blast. I race at 1/8 scale outdoor track - snowed on us last Saturday.

Loaned my truck to a guy that drives way better than me, he did well with it but was wondering why the power felt soft. We looked at it and it was setting on my radio (go figure). I don't know why I changed it but last saturday was the first time to race in almost 2 months.

And I agree, this thread needs to stay on track.

hey cain,

Replaced the 8mm mod last night with 3.5 toe on the mtc block with high roll center setting on the hinge pins. Also, ran FT stock setting on rear ball stud and rear hub tower. Now, I could break much harder coming out of the straightaway and into the sweeper than before! Was faster per lap by 0.5 second now. Before, if I hit the break in the straightaway going into the turn, the car would get a little loose on the rear end. I can also now throttle much sooner coming out of turns (of course, I increased the rear toe). Definitely like this mtc 3.5 toe block setting better! I do still have a slight on-power push in turns. Might be a function of my driving though. I can't wait to run this truck on an indoor, loose 1/8 size track. I would only expect it to be better there.

This was on a small, tight, medium bite track at a club race.

I will say that one of my fellow club races runs kinwald's setup with the 8mm mod and he's still about 0.5 second per lap faster even with my changes with the rear toe. So, I guess it depends on your driving style and skill level.

Thanks for testing out that mtc toe block a ways back.

Glad to hear how it went, good or bad, its good for everyone to get info on how the changes affect things.

What is your full setup now?

I'd like to race a 8th scale track someday as my track feels a little small, but my track is indoors and heated

On your RX8 what are your settings at? Throttle curve, timing, current limiter, nuetral width, throttle limiter, etc...
I have a hotwire so I can use the 2 custom profiles but am still new to having so many options available for tweaking.
On your radio what did you do that caused power loss on the RX8?

Have you tried running the 8mm mod with the M2C toe block? I have the M2C set at 3.5 toe but I left my anti squat at 0 instead of flipping the square inserts upside down and getting -1 not sure if it made a real difference on my track which is very technical, hard pack thats damp alot and kind of tacky. Also for your on power push let me know what works to correct it?
And if your trucks feeling loose in the caboose, try dropping the rear ride height 2mm less than the front, and setting rear camber for 0 degree it seemed to help me get the rear more planted by allowing my tires more contact area to grip and distributing weight evenly and dropping the rear end 2mm seemed to make me more planted around corners.

Heres a link to a post from Cameron Kellogg maybe you can get some help from it. I wish this guy was still here he really gave good positive and truthful feedback on tuning the SC10 4x4
