Kinda dusty really dusty sometimes, when it's wet it's tacky.
It's kinda hard to describe because it's only slippery when it dries out.
Im gonna be running Bow fighters on the front and rear. Any bowtie type
tire on this type of track is the best tire to use.
I hear this SC10 is 65% tires, 35% setup. While the 2wd Sc10 are 35% tires,
65% setup.

So having the reccomended tire is really gonna make it better for me.
It's gonna be a while before outdoor season starts here in April. That
will give me enough time to get a 4wd SC10 built and ready to race.
Im on a smaller budget than most is why im building a cheaper 4wd Corr
truck to race with over a more expensive one like the losi. Im picking up
a copperhead 4500kv system because that's what everyone here is using.

Well it's still less expensive to buy this kit with a brushless setup.
There's alot of people running the losi here and not enough running the AE.
So yeah I might have an outdoor loose dirt setup for people to try.
I have a feeling the PROLITE 4wd ready to run is not near as good as this kit.
It seems with the prolite 4wd they were targeting backyard bashers.
This is a full blown racing kit and just what i was looking for.
And as far as people are saying the prolite isnt replacing the sc10 4wd kits.

no, out of the box you get more of a racer with the sc10 4x4 than the prolite.

So you got a RTR version I take it? Did yours come with the upgrades they have been giving away for free from tower hobbies, etc.? Basically they throw in the upgrade kit for free. Maybe sway bars too, don't recall.

A big thing you will want are sway bars. If you don't have them already, get them.

No I bought the kit. But I hope I get the newer shims already in the box.
I didnt get the factory team version because I dont wanna use saddle packs.
Rather use a stick pack Lipo.

Are the stock tires already glued to the rims? I dont wanna use them on dirt
and maybe I'll buy some rims and save those for carpet racing.

Okay that makes more sense now.

The version you got should come with the AE tires and a set of rims. For racing, you will most likely want to buy +3mm rims. This will make the vehicle more stable.

You will also want the upgrade kit from AE if you don't have it already, as well as the swaybar kits too. Your version doesn't come with the clutch basket style / VTS style setup unless something has changed. definitely a must have or RC Shox center diff stup in my opinion.

Saddle pack is not required for the Factory Team version... you can use stick or saddle, your choice.

I just ordered an SC10 4x4. Going to use my Tekin RX8 ESC in it. In my other cars, I'm using Turnigy Trackstar motors. I'm looking at the 4.5T and the 4.0T. What's the difference between the two?

I did too when I still had mine.

5K in rear 20k in front by Cain on Diff oils.
I feel I will try 37.5 wt Losi in the front and 35wt AE in the rear.
I have some Losi oil that needs to be used up and it's a bit heavier than my AE oil.

I have run Stick pack, Saddle and now run dual Shorty packs. If you are running the aluminum center chassis I'm sure that battery type and location doesn't impact you so much but with the plastic center chassis the added forward weight of the dual shorty pack is great. Also have 8000mAH makes the high current draw of my Novak Ballisitc 4.5t motor containable.

from the chart I have been using comparison kyosho, AE, and losi oils, the losi oils appear to be lighter than the AE ones for the same weight by about 2.5W ? You may want to confirm this online to be sure.
