thanks buddy! I wouldn't say getting good....I'm barely starting to be ok with it....but, after I do get warmed up...I don't hit the rails as often anymore.
I might be getting close to building a body that I could play with and not bash as much anymore.
But, some of the ones I've seen at my LHS that are good...wow! I wish I could become like that someday. They make it seem so smooth, fluid and easy!
...and they go around that track with some speed

I don't think so my LHS drift track is a traction race track as well and it's huge which sucks. they have drift comps but it's drift racing with up to 10 cars drifting at the same time, and they score it 1st 2nd 3rd across the line. I don't go to the comps I think it's retarded to run comps like that but anyway I'm going for that esc and motor combo as at the moment I'm running a 5.5T with the end point on my radio at 50% so it won't make much difference and it will be smoother being a sensored setup. I had a drift track set up in my lounge room for a bit but that was when I was learning to drift I could get around it now but I ripped it up ages ago when I threw a hissy fit about the CVD's falling apart because they weren't assembled correctly and I didn't know to check them
here is a fish eye view of my LHS's drift track

Ah that makes sense why you'll need a bigger esc haha. Don't the 120As weigh a lot though?
Hopefully my 45A will be enough, when I get the funds for that.

I'll probably go with this, will it handle a tacon 3 pole fine? Does the extra pole put any strain on the esc?
EDIT:

Just found this! Ordered 2 of them, going 120A haha.
(ordered one for the car and one for my sct)

mine will drift great at higher rpms slow it down and all it wants to do is turn in a circle very frustrating for sure.

nice job but from the look of those tires you had other ways of relieving boredom
don't stress too much you'll pump more funds into a yokomo than the D3 and you will. Plenty of time to get the toys you want the way you want. I'm already planning my next chassis an Oreolai SFR-01

Its actually better if you start learning CS drifting first...if you are already a seasoned 50/50...then get into CS drifting...I heard its harder to learn. Better if you just get into CS. I rarely use my Zero S now (50/50)...and I'm actually modding it for CS coz I like CS drifting better

I find cs easier, as everything appears to happen slower, at least when I want it to. Additionally, the steering is very similar to real life drift, which I am fairly familiar with.
But either or is easy enough to learn on, maybe cs's learning curve is a little longer.
It all comes down to how much you practice. For me if I'm not in class or doing homework, I'm doing circles around something in my apt. Circles, although boring, are incredibly helpful.
Kotar: I love those wheels, where'd you get them?
