Second, grasp the concept of what I just said.... Try both with the washers. Unless you are qualifying for Ifmar worlds, you have races that you can use to try things. You can ask us and we can all give you an answer and honestly, they can all be both right and wrong.

Do yourself a favor and get a note pad and just jot down this kind of stuff so you know. We can't all be named Ryan or Jarred
Exactly, most people are afraid to try a lot of stuff on the weekends at club races because they want to win. Listen, we all want to win. But the only way you get better is practice and understanding what changes to make in certain situations. I always use club races to test (mostly due to the fact we do not have a track less than 2 hrs away in OKC). Like Bob said, take a note pad and jot things down. Start with the setup you like and make changes from there, if you notice a change in handling, write down what it did. That way if that's what you want your car to do somewhere else in a different condition you can refer to your notes.

Plus I am a much better mechanic than I have ever been driver...... I can set them up and get you right but I can't get clean runs to save my life LOL Need more practice!
I am still new to tuning and the fast guys at my track are always willing to help. It still amazes me how much a 1mm change can affect the car, but somebody at the track reminded me of the scale. 1mm is like 10mm on a real car. My setup is odd compared to most but I can drive it consistent and the fast guys say don't change a thing and their lap times show it. I still play around so "I" can feel the change.

I'm sorry but I have to ask.

As much as you guys debate hubs, shocks, mounting positions, braces, mods, tweaks, shaving this or that, moving things up a mm or back a mm, using plastic vs carbon, vs hard plastic...

When do you guys find time to drive?

No disrespect, I love technical info, but this thread makes my head hurt. Or maybe it's the Scotch. Who knows.

For the tracks I run on and on my car, A hub tower gave more consistent bite through the turn but not the drive off the corner. C tower had the car rotate through the turn in more of a controlled slide but really square up and go when you grabbed the throttle.

Personally I like the C better but some guys like A. I am pretty sure Hartson has quite a few setups listed where he is on A and we have a few local guys here in PA/NJ/MD area that are faster with A too.

One thing I haven't tried was running the C with 2 washers (std Ubrace) just to see how it felt. All last winter I did 0 washers. This year I have been running 1. I'll probably try 2 soon just to see how the car feels different.

And for gods sakes, don't start throwing roll centers at me. I know what it does, but I don't care LOL. I just care about how the car feels after the change
Right-O. For the most part....a general sense is if the track is bumpy and loose, A-Hub would most likely be better. But when traction comes in, c-hubs are more superior. Again, thats the way I like it. Many times have i started with A-Hub outside and once the track starts to groove, out comes the C.

All day on race day. Practice before heats, during heats, between heats, etc. Unless its a big race, i test the crap out of the car. Whats testing going to hurt?

Has anyone tried the Hot bodies beams (pink or red compound) on the rear? Used them on SCT front and rear and they were probably the best tire I've used IMO on the track I run on (smooth with low to medium traction and slightly dusty)

Just wanted to see if anyone else had any experience with them?

Thanks

Can't argue...

I've never tried them and I can't say that I have seen them turn up anywhere around here. It's pretty much all JC / Proline for 10th scale and add AKA in the mix for SCT and 8th scale by me.

I wouldn't be opposed to trying them... I just am trying to stay with one brand for now to make things a little easier for me. I typically run JC stuff so that I'm not second guessing 'should I be on proline' all the time.

I'm guessing with any update, the big bores will be the center piece, maybe with some new towers etc.

So if your happy with the V2's get the kit now. I have seen some ridiculously low prices, so now is a good time.

Otherwise your guess of what's yet to come (if anything) is as good as anyone else's.

Just curious but does anyone know where this servo saver bolt goes?

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...olt-Blue-B4-T4

Wasn't sure if I should put this in my cart or not.

if your running the stock servo saver then its what keeps it together and hold one of the bearings for your steering, the spring goes under it inside the servo saver.

Personal preference, what ever makes you happy. For me I wanted a car now and will still get the 4.2. You can run in another class, back up car, parts car, practice car, or sell it.

Patience was never my strong point.
