That's what I was thinking but who makes a good firm closed cell for a truck? Is the jconcepts cc durable or at least more durable than proline, I don't even know if proline makes cc truck foams but buggy foams are terrible as far as durability? And should I use an open cell front with a cc rear or. Cc front and rear. We run slicks on this track.

I have always had good luck with the newer JConcepts closed cell in buggy, I have a couple sets for truck coming. I normally run a closed cell rear with stock foam up front with barcodes on med-high bite clay. If you are using slicks is it really high bite? If so I would use closed cell all the way around.

Yeah, my buggy has the JC aluminum hexes. I just forgot to chuck em in my bucket on my last order for the truck. I'm just running blinky so it'll survive for a few break-in packs. I'll be setting the diff and slipper the first day out anyway.

Inserts are a preference thing. Bomb1s and JC will hook up a little better through corners because they roll and compress. Closed cells don't compress as much and they stay "flatter" which helps you rotate and dig in when you pull the trigger. The best way I can explain is closed cells square up coming out of corners and and allow better on-power steering if you find your droop sweet-spot.

Default T4.1 and B4.1 Paint Jobs

Just painted up two bodies...it's been awhile. Lots of little mistakes. I won't care as soon as I put them on their lids at the track.

Was thinking of upgrading to the Avid Triad slipper. What do you guys think of the Triad slipper? I am running on a indoor clay track small/medium in size with a Tekin 10.5 and was going to run 25 pinion & 76 spur does that sound right? Thanks

More consistent than the stock slipper setup and lighter. You wont be dissapointed.

You'll probably need a receiver capacitor.

A receiver capacitor .... Gee whiz I miss the old days. Ok so the capacitor on the RS is different... And I need a separate capacitor for the receiver?

The tekin already has a BEC, you only need to run one on the rx side if you are using a servo that requires more than the esc can provide. A problem prone setup is spektrum receiver/radio with a savox servo, the servo pulls too much voltage and the receiver cant provide it quick enough causing a loss in power for a few seconds. Are you having issues? if not dont start any by adding stuff you dont need.

You realize if you use the Triad clutch, you'll be limited to the Triad pinion gears, right?

I find the stock clutch works great for me on my two buggies, SC10, and T4.1. Plus I can use several manufacturers pinion gears, not just Avid. BTW, I use lots of Avid products, but, not going to spend the $ on their clutch when the Associated clutch is fine.
