Car went together really well and looking at it on the bench can't see there is going to be much of a problem like on the other thread.
Going to try and take it for a run Monday so I guess we'll soon see...
Drove the XB4 today and put 5 battery packs through it at GCRC (clay). New to 4wd buggy so it took a pounding - hit the agg pipe many times and did a bit of cartwheeling! It held up well - nothing broke and diffs still feel 'buttery smooth'. The track was also very rough as it's about to get a facelift, so there was a lot of rocks coming out of the clay and small holes on the surface and it ate it up nicely.

The car certainly turned well, but I can't comment on much else as I don't have any experience with anything else.

Happy customer so far.

Great feedback guys, glad to hear everyone is happy so far.

I have been gluing all my C/F parts for years, i say DO IT!!! it wont hurt, it takes a couple of minutes and it does help seal the C/F. It wont stop them snapping but certainly will stop de-laminating.

I havent run mine yet

Ok now finished just got to do the body and it will be ready.
Great car to build for my son and with limited help except electrics , so it will be good to see it in action.
Well made and bloody strong.
A few notes coming from a B44 and they where:
Easy to adjust the motor.
Easy access to diffs ,4 screws.
Neat for the wiring.
Servo adjustment easy.

So far very impressed with the car.
Cant wait till the 2 wheel drive comes.

Has anyone had any issues with the rear shock tower not aligning with the hole on the bulk head?

I have everything to get it to the track.
Full electrics including transponder, tyres, even a good 25-30 colours of paint to choose from for the shell.
But the car is still in it's box after 4 days...

I run my XB4 today box stock,,very impressed with the car,
I was a bit sus running it with front and rear swaybar but it was awsesome with both,
Jumps well, turns well, handles the high speed bends well,,I didn't feel the need to adjust or try any other set ups,,feels good box stock for now,,
I had a couple of good tumbles over jumps with nothing breaking yet,,there might be a couple of issues with the car that we all know about, but I'm sure these little problems can and will be easy fix's,,
Overall, very happy with this car,,it's going to be a weapon of the future,,

I got to run my car today for a few packs to get a feel for it. The car drove really well and it felt familiar straight away. Very good steering. I changed the shock setup a bit in terms of oils and went to 7k in the rear diff and the handling was spot on for me. Very pleased with the car so far!

Default XB4 testing

Hi all
My son ran the buggy again today at the indoor track at the Goldcoast, played around with the diff oil, lower weight and rear droop, no limters, very happy with it, new track layout next weekend, so will try some different tires.

Regards
Gary
