Are Gens Ace saddle packs any good in a B44.2? Anybody have any opinions?

I like those LiPo trays, will they fit the original B44?

Awesome looking ride! Can you tell me what you lined your battery tray with? In addition, what surface are you running on with those slicks (theylook sick).

I used good ol' fashion electrical tape cut to length. I only used 1 strip on each side so that's why you see some of the chassis.

I run on medium/high bite clay track that allows slicks. It helps with not having to many different types of tires that way. The thing is fast-n-fun!

Unfortunately I just tried to fit them, but the "ball stud" side of the battery tray system isnt long enough to accommodate the height of the 6000mah batteries.

Oh wow... guess there isn't as much clearance as I had envisioned. Thinking more about it now, I guess the new tray system is no different vertically than the 44.1 is. My bad.

Bummer!

Yeah the wire work to blacken it is easiest with a fat and fine point Sharpie. I feel you gotta do at least 2 coats for it to look decent. I just put a paper towel down underneath my work area, as you're bound to get at least a tiny bit messy.

Regarding the battery, did you mean the cell link wire that runs over the top plate in the rear ? I simply got the correct amount of wire length into place by forming by hand how I wanted, and then marked and cut that much wire before soldering my bullet connectors. I used the same wire on my 44.1 and used to run the Bulldog body regularly; no fitment issues.

Hideeho
Considering the steering design, would it be possible to relocate the steering servo (using a short servo like the Savox 1251) to the motor side? I'm assuming you would need to drill & counter sink holes for the mounting screws. Or, would it be possible to remount the dif mounts to the other side so the motor is on the servo side? No need to drill holes?

I'm wondering if it is possible to mount all the electronics on 1 side & the lipo on the other the tc's do. I would use a tc lipo mount.

I sanded the face of the servo mount down a little to give clearance.

Why do you want to go through all that?

I'm praying for a response other than, "so I can run stick packs".
