RC10B4.1 FT/WC
Not the greatest job in getting this to market. If they are that close they really missed the boat for this Xmas. I'm sure they sold a ton of big bores for Christmas but if there was a new kit they could have made a mint

If it is a good buggy they can make up for it next xmas. Lets just hope it doesn't cost as much as a Kyosho to make up for lost revenue.

I recently finished reading the rc8.2e thread front to back 260 pages. I will say it took a while but you can quickly tell if a post is going to have relevance in the first few words, only about half do. It was very interesting seeing the knowledge of the car evolve since the thread was started before its release. It went from the very first guy getting the first one in the mail and everyone asking for pics to later all the kinks being worked out and different setups and parts tested and recommended. You also learn alot about the people posting regularly, which comes in handy later on when deciding what advice to take since it often varies. I didn't plan on reading it but thought I'd skim thru before building my first e buggy. Within the first ten pages it was like a good book and I just kept going. The confidence I had when building and the money/time I saved by building it with right parts and bugs fixed the first time, was more than worth the time I spent reading. I will always do this with new vehicles in the future.

I need to change the spur gear on a couple of my AE B4.1 and T4.1. I've never done this with Associated cars and need to know the steps.
There appears to be a "clutch pad" or similar on either side of the spur gear. Do I need to glue a "pad" to both sides of the spur?
What type glue, CA? Sorry for the nooB question, but, I am one
I've searched youtube and this thread to no avail.
Merry Christmas

If you need instructions on how to remove or put the spur back together you can look in your manual or find it on AE's site.
It is pretty simple, just remember the order you take it apart and replace it.

I looked in the manual and all it shows is a slipper pad on either side of the spur. Nothing about how they were to adhere to it.
Sorry for the noobish questions, I'm just paranoid about messing up.
Are the pads reusable from one spur to the next? Do they just peel off?

Yes they are reusable. The pads sit in the hex part of the spur gear. So take it all apart and put your slipper plate on, then put the slipper pads on both sides of the new spur and turn the car at a 90 degree angle (so gravity isn't trying to move the pads). Once you get that on put on the other plate and the spring with the nut. If the pad is sticking out sometimes you can move it back into its place with a wrench.
OK so rumors again of a new buggy...I posted this in the 'new car from ae' thread but needs to be said here too:
Ok here is my plea to whomever winds up being the person to initiate the car specific thread for the new buggy when it comes: Please be as committed as ScottKelly911 is with the 22SCT thread.
I love how the first post of that thread has so much information about the truck, FAQs, links to tuning bits etc. Has answers to the questions that pop up over and over again in a car thread that people get sick of answering. I wish every car specific thread could be formatted like that. Super cool if the first post could be like wiki where anyone could submit changes for review but some thread moderator/owner.

Honestly, I think the c-hubs are just nonsense--another 'team' part people think they need to shell out money for.
They LOWER your roll center, period. You can do this at the inside brace by adding washers, but if you notice, they started shaving their brace at the same time they started using the c-hubs, which RAISES roll center. So... buy the part that lowers roll center, only to turn around and grind your brace down to raise it back up? Come on.
If you find yourself with a stack of washers on your brace with the A-hubs, then perhaps its time to consider the C-hubs. Having to shave the brace just to run the c-hubs is just dumb.
I run the b44 0 degree plastic hubs on all my cars and they are hooked.
