Default Brushless wire length

How close do the wires need to be in length from the ESC to the motor? Never really thought about it before then I was reading something yesterday that said if they are different lengths it will affect the timing. Just wondering

You probably shouldn't make the wires any longer than they were when new (to prevent radio interference). Anything shorter will do. They don't have to be the same length. The few nanoseconds of difference in propogation time is ridiculously small in comparison to how fast the motor signals run.
