When converting to hexes how are the quality of the JC hexes?
I really want only JC parts on my buggy.
Also what allows the wheels to spin with hexes?
Do the bearing that I used to use in the wheels go in the steering blocks with hexes?
Also I am guessing I need axle pins up front too?
What is the part # for the lock nuts that go in the hex steering blocks?
Thanks and sorry for so many questions.

There were some issues with the JC hexes stripping out where the little screw for the clamp went. I think the fix was a slightly longer screw. I don't know if the longer screws are included, or if you have to buy your own. You will need front wheels with a hex pattern instead of the bearings. The locknuts for the hex front axles are the same as the rear axle. Really?
I mean the small locknut that fits in the steering block, not wheel nut.
You won't gain a thing without going out there and driving your car though.
Bob, it just fun to tinker with this car. Remember electric anything is to hold me over until nitro season starts again in the spring. And this was a no cost mod to do and is easy to switch back to stock setup.

I have a question for you guys. I have a b4.1 converted to the worlds car. I run chad dues setup for the big bores. I am having a issue with the car spinning out when I get on the brakes. I am to the point where I basically have no brakes in it right now. I have tried different settings on my ball diff. Nothing has seemed to make it better. I even just installed a gear diff just to try and eliminate any possibilities. Everything is free in the rear new bearing eft. Nothing binding. I have ran other cars with the exact setup and they are much more forgiving. I have also tried different motors ect. I just want to see if anyone else has had issues under braking and what they have found. I run on a extremely high bite clay track. Everyone is running full slicks in clay compound. Thanks in advance. - Tim
Has anyone played with any of the variable piston setups like the MIP, RCShox, ghea, etc? Our track at the moment is pretty smooth and good bite so I can't say that it would be the best scenario, I would imagine the rougher the track possibly the better something like that would work. I'll be running the V2's for the time being and picking big bores at some point.

The kingpin does not pass throught the axle, rather right in front of it. You mean the lock nut that the ball stud threads into? That is just a 3/16 4-40 lock nut.
i'm just trying to get an idea on what range of springs i might need i would like to buy them at once but dont need to spend money on something i will never use.
