I won a CRC on Ebay along with several tires and a new painted body. http://www.ebay.com/itm/121018599287...84.m1497.l2649 The club I'm in has just started playing with these cars, no rules run what you bring. The other guys are running 2 cell Lipos I think. 13 motors. I'll probably use an RS ESC since I have one. Five min races. I almost exclusively run GensAce batterys. Any 2 cell battery recomendations?

Pro-10 cars use 2s with a 10.5 or so, for reference. Stick to 1s.
Voltage booster. Brings voltage up to 5.8-6v (think it is) for servo and receiver from single cell lipo

I know you guys are heavy into club racing with rules but what would it hurt to run a 2 cell 1600 that will fit and run for 5 minutes? If its too fast I can just dial it down on my radio. It will come to the day where we will all sit down and come up with rules, in the meantime I dont want to spend a $100 on a single cell battery and voltage booster. If the rules we make call for it I will gladly do it but I dont want to jump the gun and spend a lot of money until the rules are written, ya know what I mean. I could also go with a 17.5, have a few of them, that is if the 13 is too fast.

to add some noise.
i used to own a team crc pan car similar to rc12l3 that is using 6cells nimh.
i think higher voltage is more efficient than higher current. with 2s, we can use cheaper esc that support lower current, higher turn motor that might be cheaper, no special bec, thinner wire, etc.
however it breaks the existing business of hobby supplier, that's is the problem.

if you dont have set class rules run it until you do have enough people for current roar rules personally i believe we never should of gone 1s but that is my opinion the 17.5 would be a good choice if you are just starting until you figure it out and just have fun

Does anybody know of a different plastic centre pivot piece that will replace the associated one? Ideally, that has been lowered by 0.5-0.6mm of the height that associates is, but not essential..
This is the part I'm referring to replacing..

Thanks!
