I rarely tune for jumping. Jumping is more of throttle control. I spend the afternoon trying to get my 7year old to understand it. Happily she actually started to downside and stopped beating the crap out of her truck...most of the time.
ok, now me. When do you guys toss your packs in the trash? Someone gave me 3x puffed packs tonight. they balance and seem to hold a reasonable charge.... but with lipos I fear the fire. I would use them for practice probably, as I would not trust them to perform racing. They are hard cases with no visible damage, they are just chubby.

If you're not practicing at a race pace why are you doing it? Load on the pack should be the same, so again puffed is puffed..IMO
@racer I meant practice for my 7 year old. I run shorties. But yeah, I dont trust them. I think I will can them or find someone that is braver than me.

Lipos are sensitive to temperature as it alters the voltage. Cooling it down will only drop the internal voltage. likewise, if you fully charge a lipo when it is cold and then store it where it is warm, the voltage can also increase. That is why we have a "storage charge" mode on our chargers to keep them safely inbetween 6v and 8.4v
