I believe this is also a regional/track issue. I run blinky 17.5 with a shorty on our local track which is probabably smaller than most of you are running on. The shorty without a doubt transitions faster on all the tight turns. The downfall is when the track gets blown out like last week than you have some issues. No weight in the truck, electronics down the center, Speed Passion, Airtronics, hang on.

When you look at most of the setup sheets from Associated, the drivers use some kind of weight in the rear.

I am trying no weight and battery forwards. And I have a lot less steering with no lead in the rear

I'm geared 24/78, so you could be close or perfect for your track and motor.

I ran sc10 for the firat time tonight. I bought some AE hexes. They seemed solid but I think the avid look nicer and have longer screws. Also ran thw b44 plastic hubs. It thought traction would be poor but the truck cornered well. The rear was more planted than I would have thought possible. I started with no weight and battery forward. But I was traction rolling and it did not turn well. It was pushing lol. I added 1/4 to the rear triangles, 1/2 behind the tower and 1oz under the foam. Truck felt good but I think I was slower with the weight. Felt sluggish. My 2 cents

Regarding the SC10B, any of you guys planning on converting yours to it? I might just get the body kit and the tires and wheels for a "buggy" feel...

I plan to convert

4x4 uses hexes, but the original and FT SC10's (at least when I bought mine 18 months ago) use a pin in the back and bearings up front (so I, for example, have three types of wheel to outfit my two SC10s). The new SC10RS comes with hexes as standard. So all of this to say, you may need to change over to hex wheel mounts depending on the vintage of your SC10.
