I feel we need to advice correct..no way out theories that make New(rookie) user's afraid.. Hear many myths that just are totally false..ie. Lipo explode when put in water..heard that from a guy I watch stick a screw driver in a OPEN lipo and drop it when it sparked then lots of white smoke....all Rookies even people that know better have taken a lipo below 3.0v a cell....ur lipo can be great 1 day the next its outa balance without you knowing and poof..I have had a lipo charge and hit 8.4v.. took it off checked balance and has a cell at 2.6 and the other 5.8..

Correct advice, fully agree. Which is why many recommend a slightly higher cutoff voltage, and the routine use of a good balancing charger. To specifically avoid the 2 related issues you've apparently experienced.
