My left shock has a bit of rub even with a mm or more spacing. I manually pushed the link into spring to see how hard it was and was quite surprised. It took a considerable amount of pressure. Makes you think just how much abuse this thing really takes.

I found some weights at Hobby town today that are 1.7x Denser than lead according to package. They are made for pine wood derby cars. thought I'd share another option for Weight tuning.

I never said that spacing them back would not change something. It does. Only that most folks couldn't or wouldn't notice the difference, and would provide clearance for the turnbuckle. Adding two more insulting adjectives is simply infantile.

The only reason I felt the need to respond is because I don't want to be at the track and hear someone say they read on rctech that changing wheelbase even in such fine increments does not effect handling, then have to argue with them about it. We all know what people read on the forums is the gospel...
If the people you race with aren't savvy enough to see take what is said on the internet with a grain of salt, I fear for their futures.

I love that phrase. You may not have noticed it, but I'm sure your buggy did.
Sometimes people may not notice things they don't know what to look for. But then when changing back they noticed something changed.

Sorry, I don't talk to my buggy to ask it how it feels.

I'm more likely to notice a 1mm change in hub spacing than you are to post something constructive.

You just witnessed one of the two. Now go make a 1mm change and let us know.

I'll let you know this, PFKAOG will know what I'm talking about. I don't recommend you involve yourself with his comments...

mid motor, nope.

looks like a shorty pack only design, nope per ROAR rules.

not gonna work in the US.

Like ROAR or not, they write the rules that all the big dogs play by.

not hating on it, just saying.

With that said, a CF chassis, maybe with a tunable upper deck would be cool on a new AE car. I like it, mid motor just doesn't work for most.

Whatever AE does, updated b4.2 or a new b5, I'm coming back to AE from a stint with TLR..

Moving the rear hubs changes the angle of the drive shafts, which effects the amount of mechanical traction. If you can't hit every lap within .5 seconds of one another, and make an entire battery pack of practice without crashing, the only adjustment you need to worry about is the right tires for your track. If you are not consistent, you probably will not be able feel most reasonable changes. If you suck and put 1000wt diff oil in your shocks you will be able to feel it. If you suck and go from #2 to #3 pistons keeping everything else the same, odds are you will not notice a thing. People that are fast are in tune with their cars.

i am running the avid a/c hub towers. Tried them on the rear and they rub the inside of the rim. No thanks

Oh, I've been on these forums for years and I'm familiar with PFKAOG comments. He's from my area and I've found out who he is from word of mouth. His comments crack me up and he's jump my comments from time to time.

You can try the Associated C-hubs. I have no issues with them.
