Thumbs up

Awesome!

I highly recommend that you put the Daniel Lewis setup on there. I finally got around to doing the full setup on my car this evening at SDRC and MAN! What an awesome setup. I followed everything to a T except the front sway bar and shock setup. I broke one of my stock pistons so I'm running the Associated 10x1.1 tapered piston in the back with tapered side down and 40wt oil. The car is absolutely planted with this setup.

Daniel Lewis setup (TEKNO RC)

Another thing to consider is running a low mah lipo. I'm running tekin 1900 T8 with a 3000 mah 4s and it is is perfect. The improvement in acceleration with the much lighter battery is notable, and the car was just easier to drive as well. Something to consider. I'm able to get an easy 9 minutes out of the 3000 mah pack before I experience fade.

Loving this car

Thanks for that link...I was considering running the lower KV after I saw sum people running that setup. The 4s Lipo I was gonna use was 5000mah 40C I think.

I was running 2x2s 6000 mah packs in series which is about the same weight as a 5000mah single pack. The difference in how easy it was to drive with the 3000mah pack vs the other setup was very noticeable. Something to play with in the future for sure.

Is anybody running the EB48 with a high voltage setup (5s or 6s)? I would love to hear about the results

During the testing phase I was running a 6s/2500 with a Tekin 1400kv motor. Still my favorite setup. Great speed, great punch, great run time, cool motor. I've since been running smaller 4s hardcase packs with a 2050kv motor. Not quite as good, but a little more convenient if anything goes wrong and I need a part (motor or battery).

Wow, this thread moved right along. I've been away from his forum a bit, got into running boats a lot in between cars. My EB48 should be at the lhs tomorrow
Not sure if I'm putting in my 1900kv or 2650kv setup yet.

I'm sure its in this thread, and I'm gonna spend some time going through it, but if anybody can give me a heads up on the wear items or commonly broken items I should have on hand, or even any mods, that would be awesome.

I know from what I've read the car is very durable, but if anybody can break it, it's probably me. My friends have said I should test cars for the big companies, as I'm always finding the breakable stuff

Looking forward to putting it through the paces on my private 1/8 off road track

I will definitely have to play around with the setup as I go along...still learning, with my MTs, we run 2s normally, sometimes 3s but a high Mah and high "C" rating

I will probably stay with the 4s for now, is the 2050 a good choice for motor or should I think about going down in KV like spunkysandoval said? Im trying to get as close to12-15 mins of continuous run time as I can..

Also this might be a dumb question, I might not have seen it in the directions, but which oils are which? I know #350 and #450 are shock oil...but what are the other # oils?

Front, center and rear differential oils The very first pages of the assembly instructions notes which oil goes in the center which is 7000. Front and rear will also be noted on pages 3 and 4 at the bottom

What difference in gearing do you use with 6s opposed to 4s 2050

Same gearing basically:
4s (14.8v x 2050kv) = 30,340RPM total
6x (22.2v x 1400kv) = 31,080RPM total

After years of running brushless 1/8th scale, I feel the sweet spot for total RPM is around 30,000RPM +/- ~2,000RPM.
