The important ones are the thrust balls. The diff balls can go either way.

I use 320 grit wet/dry sandpaper with a shot of motor spray for lube.

I also use a female diff half to hold the ring and sand on a flat surface such as marble or granite.

try 2000. I usto run the gear in my 22 and i tried 5K, it wouldnt turn very well, dropped to 1K to feel the difference and it was a bit squirley, when I went to 2K it was good.

my track is a tight indoor clay with medium traction. usually a couple 180 turns

I'm considering trying big bore springs (on v2 shocks). I'm running regular AE silvers front and rear (indoor carpet), would anyone have a recommendation on which big bore springs would be good candidates to replace those?

So I ended up playing around with battery placement today (with a shorty) and found that moving the battery forward more really woke my car up. I was running it so that it was even with the Ubrace. I tried moving it about an inch further forward, but that was too much. Car would unload and spin out too easy. I checked out one of the local fast kids and he ran his about even with the antenna tube. I tried it and it was very good.

Since I'm so rusty, I'm basically 2 sec a lap of the pace. I was able to knock a second off that just with this one change. The car reacted quicker, I had more on power steering (which I was searching for) and I had good forward bite.

I think I'm locked in now setup wise. Just need to start hammering in consistency and then maybe when I grow up, I can be fast too!

I moved mone back, but I was running on low to medium bite outdoor. If i went indoor on a higher bite, I would probably move it forward.

I ran a shorty last night and I had it all the way back. I didn't like it at all. So I threw in a regualr stick pack and it was much better. I didn't try adjusting the location with the shorty yet. I'll try the antenna location and see how it goes.

Have you tried a differnt servo? Could be a bum servo

Also I had that before, turned out it was a bad voltage cap.

Usually means the servo is about to pop if it twitches like that.

I recommended the 4PL to a buddy of mine looking for a new radio as he was looking to get a 4PKS like mine. I have to say I liked the 4PL for half of the price. I know other people might not like it because it isn't the fastest; I was impressed how much it felt like my 4PKS, lighter and not as fast(I am not fastest enough to tell). It is probably a chipped gear inside or a jr with tiretts but either you have to send that servo back for repair.

With the shorty all the way back you probably were getting a pendulum affect.
