Hey guys I am sure it has been discussed before, but what is a good, economical servo for my SC10? I was looking at either the Hitec HS-625mg or the HS-645mg. I used to have a Savox SC-1256tg in there, but when I started racing 1/8th nitro buggy I put it in there. It was way overkill anyways. Thanks guys.

Hey guys,
I need some help here. I recently bought one these bad @#$ trucks and came to find out I might need to learn some things. Well first, I have racing a T4 for sometime and did alright with it. When I jumped into this truck I noticed the steering is way different, I am having hard times going around tight turns. Where I am racing at is an indoor carpet track. I thought it might be the vechile, but after watching some other people run slashes and losis there are cutting the turns allot better then me. I got the rtr rs version, everything is stock, but I put my savok 1258 servo in it. Will this servor be to much or not; causing it to turn that well or will I need to make other adjustments? I tried different shock postions and shortened up the wheelbase and nothing seemed to improve it. Another thing when hitting the double the nose of truck stays pointing up even after slamming on the breaks ( it never comes down). By doing this it is causing the truck to slam down and usally flip over also if still on the wheels I give it throttle and it pauses's for some seconds??? Lastly the truck has alot of torque there is enough to pull the tires off the ground and when racing on carpet it is almost to much any idea on some changes that I can do so when I hammer it it does not pull the wheels off the ground? I know this is a long post, but if I can figure some of this stuff out by the next race it might be that much more enjoyable.

I didnt understand some of that. use the slipper to prevent wheelies. Maybe pick up a vts to spread the load. If you are using the rtr servo, it is crap. I would replace it. I dont even make my 7 year old use the rtr servo. for setup help on carpet look at petitrc. I would assume stifer oil and springs. outside on the hubs and inside on the tower for the shocks.

Secondly to make it turn make sure your radio endpoints are allowing the wheels to be turned fully both directions and not stopping short.
Then move your battery all the way forward. If that doesn't do it then also use some stick on lead weights and add a 1/2 oz to each front triangle next to the servo.
Finally loosen you slipper so that it slips for a foot or so when you take off on high traction, like carpet. And to help the load on the slipper you can add the vts slipper from the 4x4 or get the Avid triad slipper set.

Got a new to me chassis on my truck today. Also some new threaded body shocks speed control trinity motor from what i used to have an old novak ss
I don't know how the chassis drives but we'll find out this week.
