I'd love to run something other than barcodes, and throw a little roost and air it out a little... Indoor is kinda tame and methodical sometimes, and there's an awful lot of uptight buggy guys that think they're F1 drivers....
But it is nice never having to clean out the chassis, and a very consistent track surface since they just installed a misting system. No more water breaks and soupy conditions, just a light mist every 30 minutes and that's it...

Actually, I really just want a track you can drink a beer in the pits...then I'd be set! Mix in some Hooters waitresses and I'd never leave...

Thanks Wildcat, It was a fun and trying day .
The track drove different throughout the day and you kind of didn't know what you were going to get until you hit the track.
I was the only one to qualify in the A or B main from the first heats. The second heats were much faster and I broke on the first lap. Nicked a pipe and broke my C-hub after getting crossed up on a double. I guess it was a blessing since I broke it then and not in the main.
I started in the back and was hoping the middle guys get bunched up and I could sneak on by. But instead it turned into a bit of crash fest and I seemed to get the worst of it. Oh well, it was still fun after all the BS.
I won't make the CV one, which is the one I wanted to make, but I still think I'll be able to make the HT one.

My home track allows Malted sodas. After the races we even get a bonfire going and hangout and BS.

Hi guys,
In my sc10rs rtr rear subcultures tires are open cell white foam inserts that look the same material as standard truck or buggy foams (not molded) that came in the truck from the factory new.
does anyone know what foams these are? and if available separately

looks like this foam in this tire
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXXCV2&P=7

is it just a T4 truck foam stretched over the sc10 rim?

not it is not stretched. Your tires are JC tires, so I would think the foam would be blue. Did you buy the kit new?

the kit tires on the rs comes with an open cell. their decent if your running on loamy outdoor type of track. you can re-foam them with closed cell inserts from jconcepts if you wanted to.

The white molded foams that come with the kit tires are only available to buy with a new set of kit tires. I haven't found anywhere that sells those foams seperately.

Yes, that's Glitchrc.com. Its laid back and has a mix of good competition from beginner to so fast guys. There is always a buggy class and a Short Course. They have sportsman and Pro classes and Stadium truck. A lot of guys have just recently gotten the 4WD buggies and they might have there own class. Let me know when you can make it.

Those look like the foams in the rear subcultures on the rtr. I haven't seen them sold separately and No, they are not T4 foams.
Why do you want these foams?

Default Short course showdown at mikes in Dallas.

Anyone have a setup sheet for 2wd sc10 and 4wd sc10 for mikes in Dallas. I am heading there on Saturday. Thanks.

I would look up maifields or ryans setups. They are good for most tracks. You will just need the right tires for Mikes. Ask the locals about what tires work.

Any tips on how I can get what's left of a disintegrated wheel bearing removed from a FT rear hub? The only remaining piece is the outermost part of the bearing and it's really wedged in there grrr.

Personally I've never gotten one out that's been fused in there like that without damaging the hub. Maybe someone else can educate us both
