It would be nice to have a caged or one-piece thrust assembly but due to the size of the thrust assembly, it might be impossible

I have searched extensively for a caged thrust assembly and have found nothing of the sort. It would be easier, however once you have your process down it is not a long procedure.

incorrect, there are pictures of the AE rings with blue die and sanded that show they are not perfectly flat. I do not sand my rings, nor do I run the Bfast products. Mostly because it wont help me go faster. But please dont make a blanket statement that the AE rings are "perfectly" flat, when they are not.

Been using the crush washer from the bleeder on the Losi TLR caps for a little over a week along with socket head screws on my big bores. Seems to be working perfect. The part # is TLR5066 and they cost $2.

Using 1.6 pistons front and rear, 32.5 front, 30 rear. Avid yellow yellow.

5/64. If you are interested I sell the same ceramic balls that Avid does at half the price. .50 each. Let me know if you want some

for the most part AE rings are pretty flat...but sometimes there will be uneven knotches and small blemishes...sanding with 600+ grit sandpaper on a flat surface will make sure they are perfectly flat.

So I picked up an ofna alum servo horn and I hate it. Goofy angles and such. I did this because I have been breaking the plastic ones. Before you tell me to stop crashing, kinwald broke his this past friday, lol. Ideally I would want an alum horn that is the same height at the AE one and is 4-40 threaded.

I have ran an Avid rack with an aluminum servo horn on my 9551, and I have yet to have an issue.

Got my big bores built, was reading some people were talking about breaking towers after grinding on the them. Has anyone ran with the spacers, and with ground towers to see how different the car drivers. To grind or not to grind the towers?

Im running a losi horn and it has worked great. The word losi on it makes my car just a little slower.

I dremeled my towers just enough to get clearance and I didnt break a tower. Believe me when I say I tested the towers durability with my driving.
