Default Sensored motor question

Ok so I bought a brushless setup and I'm new to it. I bought a tekin 17.5 sensored motor and an Lrp speed control (can't remember the model right off hand) that has a spot for the sensor wire. I did not however recieve the sensor wire in the deal. So my question is will the motor work without it or do I need to buy the sensor wire to get it to run
Thanks
Travis

That depends on the motor and ESC, you need to provide more details about both.

Almost all lrp speedos can work only with a sensor cable.

Even if it does work without it, it's a $6 part at your LHS. Get one and know the system is complete.

You can run any sensored motor sensorless or sensored, but only some escs can do both. Consult the esc manual.
