Are the big bore front brown and green rear springs going to be the common springs for the big bore shocks?

I say that for fronts springs you should have: Brown, Black and Green.

For rear springs you should have: Green and white.

With that said the base setup is Fr:Black, Rr: white, but with a shorty pack I have prefered Fr: Black and Rr: Green.

With 1.6mm pistons all the way around with 30wt front, and 27.5wt rear.

Since the B4.1 is the only car I have and am running at the moment, I guess I'll make mention of it here first.

I'm starting up a little side company that will provide quality screw kits for RC. These screws are made in the USA and are also used by other large RC race brands we're all familiar with.

The first batch I've ordered is stainless steel, which I've used to replace most of the black alloy steel screws on my car. I can also get screws in aluminum anodizing, such as blue (yes it looks just like some other blue ones), red, and purple. Also have low profile 8-32 wheel nuts anodized in blue, red, purple, and black. I've taken a couple quick photos this evening so you can see.

Click Pics for LARGER versions

Screw kits can and will become available for many cars (B4 / T4 / B44 / SC10 and yes metric sizes as well). While there is still work to be done and things to finalize, I anticipate being able to sell these kits with a nice set of anodized wheel nuts included for about half to two thirds of what other aftermarket screw kits out there cost. PM if you're interested to hear more or have questions before I get an official site / thread launched.

Thanks,
Jesse

Thank you! Another FT driver told me the same info about a week ago when I saw him, but I didn't write it down!! And of course I later couldn't remember correctly if it was Black front / White rear, or vice versa. Same thing though, 1.6 pistons and 30/27.5

Now I just need the dang AE springs to come in! Avids will have to hold me over.

The AE springs were not available yet for Nationals. Hence the Kyosho springs.

Maifield ran AE springs at the clash, and ran F:Green/ R:Green.

not to criticize, but stainless steel is softer than the alloy screws. Have you looked into Titanium kits?

However, for almost everything on the car even stainless screws are MORE than adequate for their application. If not.....your driving it wrong!!

Unfortunately titanium screws are something not available to me; I did look into it though, as that's what I was really hoping for. The stainless is a nice and far cheaper alternative. As for the stainless steel screws being softer, while I do understand the science behind the statement, good luck in trying to break one. It's still steel on a small RC car!
