Receivers for dx3s?
#16
Well my SR3100s from Target Hobby showed up today. Poped one in my XXX-SCT and did the binding procedure...no problems what so ever. I guess we will see how it performs next week...I guess as long as it works as well as the SR300 that was in there it will be great. I'm running the SCB chassis so the fit is much better than the SR3300T or the SR300.

The Hobbyking orange ones were actually the ones I've been looking at. Seems like a very reasonable price as long as they aren't crappy. Seems like an even better price considering I'd have to buy several of them.

I can't understand what these RX's have inside to cost so much...

Remember that SR300 are DSM1 not DSM2 like the newer receivers; therefore you will not get the advantage of the spread spectrum features. There is a less expensive way around this and still be able to stay with the OEM. Use the MR200 Marine 2.4GHz 2-Ch Sport Receiver [SPMMR200] it is significantly cheaper, but is only 2 channels. You can use a splitter to power your transponder if you have one. There are two antennas, and the other is pretty long, but you can wind one up and bend the antenna tube to stay inside the SCT body. Cheap option, good range, not as much interference, for about the SR300 price.

I've just got a DX3S on an eBay's auction for 138 usd shipped wondering if these cheap RX's would work with it. In fact, the price of Spektrum receivers was what made me avoid their transmitters until now...
