Default Receivers for dx3s?

Spektrum rx's are crazy expensive. Are there any cheaper rx's for the dx3s transmitter?

Which is why they're less expensive.

The Telemetry rarely works as it it supposed to anyway, so for the price they're a good deal!

Spektrum SR3100 clones - http://www.targethobby.com/spectrum-...p-4162169.html

$7.99 plus shipping.

I have a couple on order but from what I've read they are perfectly fine DSM2 rx which will work with your DX3S...no they aren't telemetry either...but again $8...makes you think about all the money Spektrum is making selling them for $99.

Be sure your Dx3S works with spektrum DSM2 Rx's. I tried an orangeRx gr300 and had no success with it binding. My DX3S maybe one of the older units that does not work with DSM2 technology. I'm hoping to test this RX with a friend that has a newer DSM2 radio to make sure the orange rx is not a dud.

The SR300 are horrible. I have 4 of them that came with my RTR's and I have issue's with all of them.

The ones I bought (not from any RTR) seem to work fine.

Just ordered two more. At that price it is hard to resist, even the shipping is cheap.

Yea mine have to arrive soon...they shipped on Sept 3rd. I'm interested to try them out...that said I got a deal on a 4PL so I'm not even sure I'm keeping my Spektrum radio.

I just sold my DX3S with two SR3000 receivers. I had lousy range with this set up. I had considered briefly to buy a couple of those HK DSM2 receivers to see if things would improve, but decided to switch to an Airtronics MX-3X with FHSS-3 receivers. AreCee/Grasschopper, be sure to come back and post your results using these clone receivers!

I have one in my 1/8 ebuggy for about two months. No problems.

I never had any range issues with any of my Spektrums since I started using them in 2005 as a module/SR3000 in my 3PK. I now use a DX3R Pro and still never had any range issue while racing. However, I don't bash much at all and usually only test out the gear at normal race track distances so if it is beyond 500 feet for range issues then I wouldn't know about it.

BTW I have a 4PL which I only use for crawlers for the mixing programs.
