Anyone running the locked front clutch from exoteck, looking at picking it up for my truck to try. But i have the gen one coupled slipper. I got an VTS slipper on order should be here tomorrow. So which would be better to run with it.

a week ago i bought it new from a local shop just for racing, im new to racing rc's also. spent almost everyday at the local track practicing without a glitch. after the last race on tuesday, i went back out to practice, and it would "stall" coming out of the corners after letting off the brake. it would be completely unresponsive with the throttle for about a second. then it would come back.

fast forward to tonight. i changed the belt pully, blew out the chassis, and adjusted the slipper. took it out, and it would glitch out. some times it would hold throttle on for a couple seconds after i hit the brakes, some times it would become completely unresponsive, steering and all. i tried to call associated but they are closed. im going to go back to the shop i bought it from tomorrow after work to see if they have any ideas. i know if its something with the esc, reciever, controller, associated should take care of it for the first year right? but the kicker is my next race is coming up tuesday night, is this something that associated would overnight? or if its bad would i be s.o.l. for this race unless i find other electronics to go in?

thanks for the help in advance.

almost sounds like a brown out. Ask around at the track if someone has a glitch buster capacitor you can try. it plugs into the receiver. See if that helps. I am assuming this was a RTR Sc10 4x4. If so, I think AE warranty is like 120 days. WC probably can confirm

Shot in the dark here, but what about the batteries in the remote? Sounds like it might be losing bind.

Just curious.... How many of you have your truck exactly where you want it, set-up wise?

Who absolutly LOVEs this truck?

Who HATES it, why?

For the track I run at, the Losi is just better, after a year off the pace I raced the Losi for the first time driving it, no practice at all, 2nd, 2nd, 1st.

Says it all really.

Yes, 4x4 just by its nature will be better. I also feel the SC10 4x4 is more durable than the 2wd model, and I am not a fan of non-metric screws.

Now that I have the M2C blocks, I feel the truck really can be dialed for the conditions we have here. I have always really liked the truck, but the last race really put a special place for it with me.

Well i'm sorry then, but:

Electronically speaking. Daisy chaining ANYTHING is never safer than dedicated. Everything that charger you linked does that is realistically "usable" is done by the hitec charger and many many chargers like it. Those silly PC downloads and 'battery telemetry' they are bragging about is being bloated into nonsense.

"virtually unlimited charging parameters" - Uhm, so can a 70.00 charger.
"will charge, discharge, monitor, or multiple cycle any current or future battery chemistry" - Really? They know the future? It's an open source Windows GUI that can be dramatically changed for unknown future charging of batteries? If so, Why isn't it 500.00?

I don't know what other thing I "offended" you with but i'm sorry, and am sure you're going to live.

Yeah, who the hell thinks standard is a good idea still? Why not use Wentworth?
SC10 4x is AE's 1st venture into metric, the scte is a mix of standard & metric, now losi is using all metric on the 22sct..

Be done with standard already!

what kind of conditions are you running on?[/QUOTE]

I run on a large outdoor track, when dry it's hard packed, very slick, dusty, very bumpy, ruts all over the place, lots of elevation changes and off camber downhill or uphill turns, when damp it's good to hi grip, we have a large sweeper into the straight, and a sweeper at the end of the straight.

I don't hate the SC10 4x4, but setting it up I could get it good for part of the track, and it would suck for the rest, or the other parts of the track and have to go slower thru the sweepers etc, the truck was probably faster than my new Losi, but you could not really tie a hole race together, lap after lap.

I used all the gear out of my SC10 in the Losi, rims tires, motor, ESC servo, the lot. First race it was just planted, you could push it really hard, it just flew thru the sweepers and the infield, turns great, and very very easy to drive, lap after lap, I pushed the leader in two heats, and after using the drives as practice I cleared out in the last, winning by almost a lap, had real fun.

Not hating on the SC10, but for the track " I " race on, and the way " I " drive, the Losi is better. My SC10 2wd rocks, love it and always place up the sharp end with it.

I know these toys are for fun, but if you come second your the first loser.
