Any comments on which kit to get between the 12R5.2 and the CRC Xi? I'll be running at TQ (thanks for all the information you post, RedBull) and it seems both cars are popular. I'm leaning toward the 12R5.2 for parts availability, and I've always liked blue, lol, but is one preferred over the other? I know CRC has a new car coming out too, is it worth waiting for or should I just jump into one of these?
Whichever one you buy, get the Slapmaster thrust bearing kit immediately or you will do what I did and think your diff is constantl trashed when its really just the outer hub bearing being crunchy.
Bs
Well, I run the long-arm front, .50mm crc front springs, ten degree caster blocks with the arms centered on the block for maybe six degrees of initial caster, about 1mm of droop in the front end at rest, 30k wt on the front pin, a degree of camber, two degrees of toe-out, and a stand-up style servo. I also run the Gen-Xi front axles and hubs.
I run a CRC Mohawk body.

Any recommendations for 12R5.2 setups with 17.5 blinky? I saw Rick Howart's setup on the Associated website and figured it might be a good place to start but would it cause problems since he runs mod and I'd be using that setup with stock?

I'd say it's a good start for sure

I've thought about trying these: http://www.reflexracing.net/QTEQ-Pow...pe_p_1058.html
Haven't tried them yet though.

I basically have the choice between the TOP Racing Rebel and the Corally. Both have local parts support. Can someone point out the main differences between the two cars?
I'm new to 12th scale, but have raced 8th scale offroad for years.
As this is my first winter with 12th I'm mostly looking for easy maintenance, durability and "friendly" handling.

So I am going to start running 1/12th again when i get out of Afghanistan. I am moving near Watertown, New York. I know that CRC is in Rome, are there any other tracks in that area? Any recommendations for an ESC? I looked at the line CRC carries, but I don't know if they are any good. Cost really isn't an issue for an ESC. I have run Novak and Tekin in the past with good success, and I know their stuff works well, but I am curious what most guys are running. I will probably be running 17.5 since I am pretty sure I will suck since I haven't touched a controller in forever, but would like to get something that can handle any motor I throw at it in 1/12. Thanks in advance for the help.
