Take a look HERE at all the New 12th scale cars

T-bar is an old design, and does not fit well with 1s lipo

Any comments on which kit to get between the 12R5.2 and the CRC Xi? I'll be running at TQ (thanks for all the information you post, RedBull) and it seems both cars are popular. I'm leaning toward the 12R5.2 for parts availability, and I've always liked blue, lol, but is one preferred over the other? I know CRC has a new car coming out too, is it worth waiting for or should I just jump into one of these?

Can't go wrong with either one, there are no bad 12th scale cars

Whichever one you buy, get the Slapmaster thrust bearing kit immediately or you will do what I did and think your diff is constantl trashed when its really just the outer hub bearing being crunchy.

I run a CRC Mohawk body.
You're very close to my go to set-up. The first thing I would try is to drop to 5k or 10k on the kingpins. In mod the increased speed requires the front-end to react much more quickly than it does in 13.5 or stock. That's possibly why the Magenta fronts are so inconsistent. When the front end lays over in the corner, the 30k may not let it center up quickly enough, making the car "plow" through the apex, rather than rotate cleanly.

Any recommendations for 12R5.2 setups with 17.5 blinky? I saw Rick Howart's setup on the Associated website and figured it might be a good place to start but would it cause problems since he runs mod and I'd be using that setup with stock?

Normally just a tire change, and minor adjustment or two
I'd say it's a good start for sure

Default connector on brushless motor

Hi,

Have anyone put connectors on their brushless motor instead of solder the wire directly ?

just looking for various ideas.

I've thought about trying these: http://www.reflexracing.net/QTEQ-Pow...pe_p_1058.html
Haven't tried them yet though.

Default First 12th season - which kit?

I basically have the choice between the TOP Racing Rebel and the Corally. Both have local parts support. Can someone point out the main differences between the two cars?

I'm new to 12th scale, but have raced 8th scale offroad for years.

As this is my first winter with 12th I'm mostly looking for easy maintenance, durability and "friendly" handling.

They're both excellent cars, but the wealth of knowledge guys like Fairtrace and Hannulec have shared on RCTech and Mike's wikipage are invaluable. Of course there's another brand of red car as well.......

So I am going to start running 1/12th again when i get out of Afghanistan. I am moving near Watertown, New York. I know that CRC is in Rome, are there any other tracks in that area? Any recommendations for an ESC? I looked at the line CRC carries, but I don't know if they are any good. Cost really isn't an issue for an ESC. I have run Novak and Tekin in the past with good success, and I know their stuff works well, but I am curious what most guys are running. I will probably be running 17.5 since I am pretty sure I will suck since I haven't touched a controller in forever, but would like to get something that can handle any motor I throw at it in 1/12. Thanks in advance for the help.
