Fine if you stay within your lipo's max charge rate. I charge my nano's at 20a without any issues and they stay cool. Not the same with all lipo's though.

Right now? I'm using the Thunder 1220 that I sold to Oasis because somebody swiped my Thunderpower 820 in the picture Saturday night.

I loved that charger. The dual outputs is kind of handy, being able to adjust the threshold cutoff to exactly 4.22v and it will discharge at 10 amps which is also kind of handy if you run a class where battery condition matters and you need to know. It was small. You could read the display. Ohwell.

I am running gens ace. I did a 10 amp discharge to 3.6 volts and warmed up my pack. not hot, but definitely warmed it. I assume you guys are fast charging at 20 amps, not balancing at 20 amps.

Balance charge @ 20a. Takes about 10 to 20 minutes, 5 min heat or to lvc during practice.

Its fine, except that I race 1s and it will only charge to 4.17v/cell, and there's no way to adjust the threshold. And the balance board doesn't have a tap for Thunder Power batteries. And I needed a second output or a second charger for the second class.

Other than that (and for most users here), its awesome.

yeah, I have a team checkpoint and you can adjust the upper and lower voltages. no internal balancer, but the external ones seems to work well, I double checked the pack on my icharger and it was balanced. but yeah, I use 2 chargers, team checkpoint and icharger. A dual charger would be nice though.

a used 206b would probably be under $90. it is 20 amp.

this a descent 20 amp 400 watt charger.

My Pit
Hitec X2 400
Server Power Supplying 65amps (modified)
Hobby People 5000 50c Saddles (2c charge rate)
Hobby People 5000 35c Sticks (3c charge rate)

You pay out for this kind of stuff... But you Turnigy/genace/whatever guys don't realize what you 'thought' was "good enough". Not an attack, just a thought to take a second look.

Notice how Craig uses the generic Hobbywing ESC's? But uses Thunderpower chargers and Batteries? :wink wink:

(Helicopter guys have been charging at 5-6c for a year already. No issues with a quality cell)

I took a look. Got a reedy 6500 65c, good lipo but IMO not worth the extra $.

A hair more punch off the bottom and less voltage sag for the last couple minutes before lvc. But that's 10 min or so into a run.

Had to try it but not worth the $120 to me.

Everything Reedy makes is overpriced through the roof.
