That's true - the thrust bearing is crap on the AE. My only complaint with the 4.1 platform, really.

I guess they forgot to tell me. Unless I have a catastrophic failure I won't be going back to metal. I would order more of them but they don't seem to wear out.

Savox is power hungry but it's not the problem. The problem is spectrum receivers. I run all Savox and no issued with airtronics or futaba. Unlimited problems with spectrum.
There Im done with Stevo talk...

What lube are using? Stealth lube on diff and AE grease on the thrust

Only the best AE silicone diff grease, in both the diff and thrust bearing, no black grease at all.

use black grease on your thrust..AE diffs are one of the best out there...

New question. I have tried to build my shocks with rebound. But cant seem to do it with the bleeder caps. Any ideas?

I used to use black grease in the thrust, it made no difference as the thrust bearing was crunchy and the diff still felt bad, now i have full silicon nitride balls in the thrust bearing, so it doesn't matter.

it matters big time..run carbide diff balls and ceramic thrust..Silicone in the diff and black grease on your thrust balls...make sure you set it and break it in also

I did break it in, and it works great. No reason to take it apart just to switch to black grease in the thrust bearing.
