So just run 1/4 oz of weight up front in each triangle in high traction correct? Only put weight in rear triangles if low traction or need more traction right?

I think the rear triangle is pretty much always done. All of the pro setups have weight in the rear triangles. If you need more steering, then you can add weight in front of the servo or in the front triangles.

FWIW, I asked AE team manager Brent Thielke (most helpful team manager I've spoken with) about the different arm options and he said that they do use them as a tuning aid but tend to stick with the carbon front and B44 rears most of the time. If I remember correctly, he said the B44 arms had a "stiffness" in between the stock plastic B4.1 arms and the carbon B4.1 arms. you should also consider that the majority of the 1/10 races that the team drivers participate in are on indoor, high-bite clay.

All this talk about arm materials is getting out of hand.

Quick, somebody ask a big bore question...

Interesting you should ask! There us another thread discussing exactly this.

http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...-links-69.html

Scroll down to post by fredswain. The man has some pretty out there concepts on tuning theory, but it has all proven true in my case.

In my case I've gone through his setup method on by b4.1xl (truck chassis) using a shorty set all the way back & am very happy with the results. I do have a minor issue with loosing the rear in one particular high speed blown out corner, but it's just trying to find those last few 1/10ths.

If you look back a few pages you'll find my current setup. Maybe we trade some notes on setup as we get the truck chassis' dialed in.

Who knows, maybe we're on that start of the next trend. I read about a few people trying truck chassis but not really putting the effort into dialing it in, so I tried it. Then I found out Ty tessman has a truck chassis on his b4.1 (all though his is customized beyond recognition). Now you, maybe we'll hear about cav or mayfield trying it next! Then everyone will want a t4.1 chassis & the prices will go up.

Did you forget to install the crush tubes between the bearings on the hub?

Tubes are in but I did notice I put positive 1/2 camber instead of negative. I changed it but a pack after I noticed the left rear wheel had a lot of play that's when I saw the blown out bearing. One blew out the other was on its way
