Does Losi sell the 8ight-e plastic spur without the metal insert for a cheaper price than the two together? Doesn't make a lot of sense to keep buying the metal insert over and over.

so 46/14 = 3.29 which makes your buggy slower if all other things remain the same.
Ratio's are usually compared the other way though 15/45 = .333
and 14/46 = .304 , now 16/48 = .333
Motor are rater per kv so a 1900kv motor turns 1900rpm per volt , 14.4v battery = 27360rpm
27360 with 15/45 (.333) = 9111 rpm
27360 with 14/46 (.304) = 8317 rpm
8713/9111 = .956 and roughly 4% slower but will have 4% more torque

thanks for reply. Im just getting sick of stripping the 45 tooth plastic spur. I have a metal 46 tooth is the reason for me asking, and dont wanna buy the 45 tooth metal one lol. Im clueless to why I keep stripping the spur, I have the mesh just right. On other buggies that used plastic spurs I never stripped one. Just with the losi Im having issues.

I was going to take mine off till I notice how much the motor mount and center diff support would tweak if you apply pressure to the motor by hand.
I have 4 weeks on my kit and it gets run hard 2/3 times a week. STill on the same spur.
I did set the mesh as close as possible and still have some play.

Is it getting warm? I've seen people's center diff get really hot, hot enough to start melting the spur and the pinion destorying it.
