Ceramic bearing question
#1
I just re-bearing an engine this week, using ceramic bearings (TKO) for the first time. After running two easy tanks, rolling on the throttle so I didn't skid the balls on the race, I noticed that the engine has a slightly different sound at idle than any of my other engines, all of which are steel bearing'ed. It doesn't sound bad, like they do when a bearing craps out, just a little different. I was just wondering if ceramic bearings have a slightly different sound - kind of a whirring sound - at idle. The bearings went in just fine, and the engine runs great, so I'm more curious, than worried, at this point.

Give me a call???? That doesn't sound good at all!
Just sayin if there is nothing wrong then a post would let ALL readers know there is nothing wrong but call me with a phone number on a public forum just seems bad....
