Default Lrp flow and x22

Has anyone gotten a motor temp readout from the flow using an x22 motor?

Still using a worksteam flow. (Not flowX) and my x20 gave up on me. A really usefull feature this combo had was motor temp readout when trying to find a good fdr. However I’m not so sure if the x22’s will be backward compatible regarding this? Anyone?

I’m thinking if I can’t have a temp readout there are more interesting motor alternatives these days.

Edit: manual says the motor needs an ntc-sensor for temp readout to work. Suggesting other brands could support the feature. I’d be very interested to hear of anyone getting this to work with any other brand motor.

All sensored motors have a temp sensor.
The X20 and 22 use the same sensor board.
The X22 should work with the Flow and provide the correct temperature for read out.

I hope this helps.

Thanks guys! Much appreciated.

While the x22 is a safe bet now - have you perhaps tried the latest xerun hobbywing or reds racing vx3 motors with the flow Gigaplex? The 'no centerpiece' can-design of these offerings together with the local dealer stocking them is tempting, if they can report correct temps that is. Saying that, I have no idea if the x22's are a better or worse choice performance wise. Just going by the looks, the competitors designs suggest lower temps.

Apologies for the now semi-off topic question.

We are using the SMC low rider with the FlowX and they work great. A lot of ppl run the R1 and seem to be liking them.

Does anyone know which is the cut off voltage value on lrp flow x? I see there is the possibility to enable a cut off, but I didn't find anywhere the info about the voltage value.

The cut-off voltage is 3.3V.

So I've come back using a Flow works ESC that's 5yrs old. Mainly used in 21.5, now hooked up to a new Xfactor 21.5 motor, Flysky NB4 and lihv lipos
Noticed sometimes on power it glitches with a loud noise with the yellow light solid on, restarting it a few times normally fixes it or eventually gets into blinky mode (v5.4)

One odd thing I find is, on full power for maybe 5+ seconds it cuts out and goes back into full throttle. While most if not all track straights will not be that long, maybe 2-3s max I wonder if ESC is on its last legs.
Have already calibrated it a few times, zero extra trim on throttle. Wonder if anyone has had this?

Default Flow works team update

Hi has anyone tried to update the flow using a Windows 11, it's new and tried to update without the motor connected, just wanted to test before installation into the car, it seems the software is not seeing the Speedo, I'm using a V3 bridge and already damaged a sensor lead, but have a lead that came with my X20 motor, also tried to reset back to factory settings and all three lights are lit, will try again, cheers Wayne.
