What would be the best tx settings?
What are the ideal spur and pinion sizes?

tnx for your suggestions..

Wht car? U should be able to get a rough gauge from yr manual and difference from the stock motor. Go to the drift meet and ask ard wht the others use for a rough gauge.

Wht's tht? Never heard of it. I would suggest asking the shop u bought it from for advice. If u r serious abt continuing drifting, u might want to consider getting another car but this time from the mainstream brands.

Default Changing from Nimh to Lipo

Hi Guys,

I am thinking of changing my receiver packs in my Nitro On/Off-road vehicles from 6v NiMh to Lipo packs.
Please advise on what to do and look for?
Eg. Any probs with higher volt from Lipos? Any other stuff required?

Any balance issues?

Thanks.

Hi guys,

I was wondering the wire between the brushless esc and brushless motor, must be in the same lenght ? or can be of different lenght ?

Difference in term of like A-5cm, B-6cm, C-7cm. something like this.

im using
ESC- Hobbywing Xerun 120A
Motor - Team Power 7.5T

im also getting very very little braking force. could it be due to the different lenghts of wire ?

TIA !

Firstly, what vehicles do u run?

Next, do u have a lipo charger?

What is the dimensions of yr battery box? U need to know wht size lipo will fit.

Check the spec of yr receiver. Can I take lipo? If not, u need to have a step-down.

Did yr motor wire come in different length? Most motors I see all come in same length. different length wires will not affect brake force. Check yr ESC setting.

motor is without wire. those got 3 metal tabs to solder the esc's wires onto it.
so it wouldnt affect the timing (or make it work incorrectly) with "uneven" wires ?

i cut the wire in different length to make the cable mamangment look nicer n shorter. but i see some others on other forums mentioned all wire should b of same length to work "correctly".

I am running V1rrr and Kyosho MP777.
I have a Lipo balanced charger.
V1rrr runs straight 5 cells and Mp777 uses a bundle 5 cells for RX.
What Lipo to buy?

Using Spektrum Tx and Rx.
Are they good for Lipo?
Are the servos any concern?

Will any step-down do?

Thanks.

U have to buy the lipo tht supplies adequate voltage and fits yr cars. Should be 2s lipo. Yr servos must be able to handle lipos.
I don't remember if Spektrum can take lipo. Check yr TX spec. Should be ok. I think the stock DX3S RX can take up to 8.4v so should be ok.

I don't see why shorter wires will make motor work correctly. When u solder the wires, most of the time they are not same length wht it reaches the ESC wht.

I just bought the tamiya TT01 front 1 way spool for my TT01E, however after assembling, I realised that even when braking, all 4 wheels are still locked.. The front 2 wheel is suppose to spin did not spin at all... Anyone knows what went wrong? D=

Hey there Guys
I'm new to the RC Cars scene and wondering where the best track&shopplaces are in Singapore. I noticed yesterday that the Turf City tracks are gone.

Hi,

If you are into EP car (on road/off road), the only track available is Bottle Tree Park.

If you are into GP on road, you can try East Coast PA.

For shops, try searching the 'Shops In Singapore' thread. Call them up or visit them to see if they have what you need.

Is there a track to drive monster trucks? How much is the fee? Any age limit?
