This might be a good option. I might do it myself.

Sorry didn't mean to ruffle your feathers. It was a joke. Just drill a hole on the other side and be sure that the hole is only big enough for the antenna tube to be a snug fit. Put a dab of Shoe Goo or tire glue and viola...done. Then the lemon pledge!

Didn't see that it was already suggested by RCManiac and there's a pic to boot.

No need to spend another $10. Unless you really want too.

Pretty much..I don't know why you would want to change shocks, the stock shocks are pretty damm good, you might need to work on getting them dialed in to your local track but that's with any shocks..and Kyosho is really proud of their springs..at hot rods hobby they were $26 a pair..

All you need is a factory team, no extra stuff at first. Get a setup from a fast guy at the track + tires and just learn the truck. I am so stoked on mine.

No worries. Sarcasm is lost from behind a keyboard, as my reply was also laced with some. As for the dirty truck, I barely have time to get it dirty much less clean it. It is not always that dirty though.

I hear you bschanz. With other real world responsibilities I don't get to the track as much as I'd like to. Thank goodness for sites like this that keep the hobby relevant during those times when I can't make it to the track.

The guys I hang out with are mostly running 4.5T motors. One is running a Pro4 Tekin and I just picked up a Tenshock for mine. My personal opinion, I would rather use 80% of the motor and run it at 120* then 100% of the motor and run it at 180*.

As the truck has yet to hit the track, it is all theory. My batteries just arrived, and still need to rebuild the shocks and mount the rest of the electronics before it moves on it's own.

The fact that it's a slower motor makes the truck more manageable. I had the same euphoria when I went from an 8.5 to 17.5nt in my B4.1. As long as I didn't get bumped by short courses I could go lap after lap in practice with out falter. I think Cameron Kellog runs a 540 (non 4pole) motor but also runs a separate fan just on the motor to tame the temps. Maybe he can chime in for better details.

I ran a 6.5 540 in mine for a long time. It was very manageable power and when geared properly ran in the 160 range and it was fast.
