Yes, i have the same issue as you just had.
Kit comes with the larger set screws that fit the old hubs not the new ones.

For people wondering about the screws, they are not included with the kit, only the 5x5,my buddy just built the new mbx6r and i also just built mine and they only come with the 5x5 set screws for the older steel axles. The screws you need are 4x4 set screw and i bought some dubro metric ones from the hobbytown i work at.The part number for the dubro 4x4 setscrews is DUB2170.Your local lhs should carry them, they should be a 1.49$ for 4 of them.

Just a quick update. Kman is correct, it's a 4x4 set screw. I went to the hs shop yesterday to pick some up and they fit.

Finally finish the build up after getting the screws. So for all new and current owners of the u.s. spec kits, hope this will help u out if you happen to be the few unfortunate one that was missing the tiny screws. It's a 4x4 screw

Thanks for all the help

I mounted mine on top of the receiver box and the plug on the side of the receiver box. Works great and has never come off.
