A lot of ppl like the exotec to lower your cg and add some weight. I am a cheap person and only buy what is absolutely needed. I personally dont think its worth the $100, but if you have deeper pockets than me, go for it. The only upgrade that the truck NEEDS in my opinion are sway bars. This truck is crap to drive without them, in my opinion and should have been included in all kits. Anything else is just bling, lol. The brace might be good too.
But I just find it comical, that the guys on the losi forum are trading out the alum for composite chassis to make the truck lighter and the AE guys are getting alum to make it heavier.

The truck does rolls a lot when setting the height a bit higher. But lowering the clearance will hurt the chassis in the jump and in the bumpy surface.
However, I have always been wondering if they want a piece of weight on the bottom, why not just stick a piece of metal plate under the button of the chassis? it's lower than anything possible and it's protecting the chassis.
I could see how a truck of this size could use a brace, but meh, I have never owned a saddle pack. What do the saddle packs give the truck? Evening out the weight *side to side? I was thinking of the saddles because it would free up some chassis space in the rear to add weights and balance the truck. I run on pretty smooth tracks and have not notices much instability yet. Yeah, its not a losi, but i have never really liked losi. They are stable, but I find them annoying to drive, they feel like boats to me. I like the responsiveness of the AE cars.
aluminum wheel hex also needed, plastic ones will just wear out in a while, and it will stuck there.

2 of my bodies look like that. The other 4 I couldn't scratch the paint off if I tried, Said prep, same batch of cans. /shrug This is why I two-tone my Bodies. I am NOT spending that kind of time!

Saddle users usually dont need to add lead, but I have seen a couple people post that they do... in the front.

Should not need weight in the back, the design of the truck and motor placement puts plenty of weight at the back. Stick pack users usualy add lead to the front left.

Many here will give setup advice.
