Is a bit hard given all the different types of RTR's out there, its one of those "will have to wait and see what turns up" sort of things.

The novice class wont be for "experienced racers" who dont have a mini and/or VTA.
I'm not experienced, well not onroad, just a average offroader with a car I wouldn't mind having a go at onroad without spending lots of dollars. I've got a sparrowhawk with a mini combo in it, was hoping i could just slap the standard radials back on it one day and give a run around a proper onroad track. I've only even run once on a real track back in Christchurch NZ.

No reason why you can't do just that and join us next practice day you'd get the most amount of track time that way they are quite fast with the 13t setup onroad, you'll like it

All you need to do is make sure you run an Untimmed 21.5 Stock system and regulation bodies and tyres the rules and regs are all on the first couple of pages of this thread.. Would be good to see ya down with us ...

PS Silvercans work well too but not sure of the Ratios...
Rube, im using 44/60 on the TC4, seems to work well with the speed passion 21.5.

Yes that would be OK, i think we have had a few people with a silver can run in VTA. there is a little difference in speed but if you are starting off the silver can will be better for you learning anyway

I started off with a silver can and tamiya esc in my ta03f vta gearing was 4.76 and it was good. Not as fast as a 21.5 setup but good enough to compete
