Default VTA and Mini Fundays at SMA

VTA, Mini and Novice Fundays

Classes - VTA, Mini and Novice classes only.
Cost - $10 per racer, Family price - TBA

The VTA and Mini Fundays are an opportunity to have some relaxing fun filled racing, a few (lots) of laughs and an opportunity for the family to come racing.

There will be dedicated novice events and it is hoped that all the more experienced racers will give a helping hand and advice to the novice racers.

The exact VTA race format we can all negotiate either before and/or on the day, think its important that all the VTA heads have a voice.

Dates -
Sunday 29th July
Sunday 26th August
Sunday 30th September
Sunday 28th October
Sunday 25th November

Times –
Gates open at 10.00
Gates close at 4pm

A huge thanks to SMA for agreeing to these race days

Any questions feel free to pm me

VTA, mini and novice fundays sound great.I'm happy to run with any format people want just as long as I'm getting some track time.I don't know how much help I can be to novices but happy to help in any way I can. They might feel better about their driving when they see mine

Sparrowhawk would be fine just need to sort out gearing. Not sure about the motor but it might be silver can for novice.A sparrow hawk was running fine in vta with a 21.5 and also with a silver can

Muzz the SparrowHawk is much like the TC4 Associated so it will be a very good car for VTA, Noel I think uses 55T Spur with a 34-35 Pinnion on a 21.5 Brushless and he does very well as do a few others with simillar cars.. I would have to get Noel AKA Backdoor to make sure of the ratios...

All you need to do is make sure you run an Untimmed 21.5 Stock system and regulation bodies and tyres the rules and regs are all on the first couple of pages of this thread.. Would be good to see ya down with us ...

PS Silvercans work well too but not sure of the Ratios...

It really depends what the novices turn up with.
The novice race is so as if there are any dads who want to run VTA/mini, they can bring the kids and they can have a run, for newbies to have a play at the track and get interested in racing.

Is a bit hard given all the different types of RTR's out there, its one of those "will have to wait and see what turns up" sort of things.

The novice class wont be for "experienced racers" who dont have a mini and/or VTA.

PETE when are you coming back to SMA

Just one of the more experienced racers saying "hi" and/or "good race" to one of the novices will make their day im sure, so i'm sure you will be more than useful

hope to see you at least one of the VTA days
