Finally saw a video of you racing, didn't look bad, but surely wasn't killing it.

Hey, for those using the VTS Slipper w/ the Garodiscs from Marcus along with the Exotoek Inner Hubs (ilanstylz, Grouchman and any others), can you explain why the combo works so well? Also, from the pics I have seen of these Exotek Inner Hubs, is it one plate for the Rear and one for the Front?

Lastly, what type of tracks do you race on with this set-up?

Thanks!

I race at Westcoast Raceway, which is 100% clay, med-high traction, indoor track. Exotek doesn't make a front system. I'm using the VTS Slipper w/Garodiscs from Marcus along with the Exotoek Inner Hubs. The Exotek inner hub removes the inner disc with a solid plate. Truck feels like the pin mod, lots of rear traction. I'm digging it right now.

Grouchman got it right on the dot, the exotek is only installed on the inner part of the spur with the vts going on the outside. I had great success with the v1 diff and for some reason I kept having issues with my v2, now I know its all on me because I probably didn't install it right. However with the setup I am currently running on an indoor small clay track it seems to working just as good if not better then my v1 diff. If I keep my center diff I may just install it and try it once again and compare it with my current setup but I can honestly say what I'm running now is working out great.......

i can not answer for the other person but i mounted mine like that the other day. you have to cut out a portion of the chassis wall to let the air flow to the motor and drill two holes to mount the fan.

im using a muchmore fan and it took temps down by 30 degrees.

Would something like this work to keep the 540 motor cool? Any issues putting in motor coolers? Space?

I have run my fan that way from day one. Never broke a blade. I killed a couple of yeahracing fans from hard landings over time, but it was just electrical failure with the wiring. Flawless operation from my Murfdogg fan for about 6 months now. It is twice as thick as the yeahracing fan but still moves about the same amount of air.

I run a Murfdogg 5.5 2pole 540 motor and with the fan I have no temp issues. Start with low ESC timing and work your way up like with any set-up.

I have the "cheat" mode turned off in the MMP. No timing. No motor timing. I am not at my home pc, but I think there is punch or toque controls, right? Would I need to change those?

Cameron,
Which fan are you running? The one I linked?

Thinking off selling my SC10 4x4, I want to try a different class and can only afford one car at a time . Has the following:
Custom saddle pack conversion
Custom chassis brace
8mm mod
RCShox 2-stage pistons
RCshox V2 Center diff
Trackstar O-rings
Sway Bars
Aluminum hexes
RPM Front Arms
STRC Aluminum belt tensioners
A bunch of extras and brand new avid hub bearings.
Diffs correctly shimmed
2 sets of wheels
2 sets of mounted AKA city blocks (one 60%, the other brand new)
2 beat up bodies
2 slightly puffed (still balance and work perfectly) Gens Ace 6000mah 25C saddles

Any idea how much I could get?

Thanks! Hopefully I can stay but I want to try something else with a wing lol.

I run Tekin ESC. I run 30deg of ESC timing in Dual mode with -5 timing on the motor. Geared 16/93 can run a pack dead with temps under 150 with a fan.
