Very very tempted by the 245 but I just saw the EZ peak plus and that has very good reviews can charge 2 LIPOS at once has a screen a balancer and is 99 dollars street price plus my Lhs carries it choosing a charger is Harder than choosing my first car! LOL what's a good discharge rate aka C rating running hobbypartz leopards brushless 4750 kv combo and a traxxas 1/16 brushless system Thanks for all the help!

The EZ peak does do storage charge automatically, but you could do it manually with a simple egg timer to remind you to check voltage levels. I would bet that the Duratrax gains the functionality soon... it can be updated via USB. The EZ peak must be new... it looks decent, don't know anything about it... Still have my 235 for cheap... if you change your mind just let me know.
As far as discharge rate for the battery... not sure. You can ask the guys in the electronics forum about it, and ask for their choice for cheap charger as well. You will get more replies there. I would bet you get a lot of votes for Duratrax... and remember, if you are charging multi-cell Lipo, a balancer is pretty much required. So if the charger does not have it built in, its an extra $20 to the cost.

Carbon fiber also breaks down in UV light... but I doubt that is of concern to the lifespan of a RC vehicle... but it is for full size aircraft. Carbon fiber parts for aircraft must be painted and never exposed to sunlight.

To be safe yes... The carbon fiber is held together with epoxy resins. They all break down under high heat, some are better than others. Its really up to you though. An occasional drip of hot solder would probably not hurt a quality carbon fiber piece, but any cheaper or poor quality stuff may use cheaper resin and more easily damaged by heat.

I got a bad nanotech 2 cells lipo and I open it up to find out one of the tab was loose. I try to solder it together but it won't take any solder. I use flux and sand down the tab but still can't get 1 drop solder on. I use hakko 936 with wide tip and hottest setting. The tab is kind of like soft aluminum. Am i using wrong solder(60/40) ? Halt to waste a battery because loose connection and seem it is fixable. So what's your suggestion ? Thanks
