I have the stock ae ones installed right now, but the Avids will be here this week. I'm using the HPI hex wheels.

Hey Philzila. Thanks for the compliment. I'll get something done for those that are interested. Keep in mind that as I read the ROAR rules, the truck becomes illegal. But, so are my 6S batteries , sensorless 6-pole small motor, and who knows what else. My local tracks don't care, as they run an open truck class, so it's all good. Anyway, I'll see if I can get something done this week.

Sooooo...my brother-in-law decided to go the FT SC10 route so, he sold me his dialed SC10RS rolling chassis. I was never really into SCT and love 2wd buggy so, I'm converting it to a T4.1.

The chassis, battery strap and RPM bumper are on order at the lhs. The body mounts are mounted, body is cut out and I have a spare Losi Xcelorin 5.5t system on hand. The motor runs incredibly hot, like 140ish with no load. I think I'm going cut a section out of the motor guard to fit a heatsink. Also replacing stock servo with a 1258tg.

The biggest obstacle was figuring out 12mm hex truck wheels. I read that 22T wheels would fit, but the lhs had none. I found some Ofna truggy wheels that'll fit 12mm, but I'll have to bore it out some. I also saw that Traxxas has a dome truck wheel with 12 hex.

-Has anyone ever ran Ofna wheels on their conversions without having to bore it out or are my particular wheels being difficult?

-What is the blinky thing everyone talks about retarding their motors and what is the proper name for them so I know what to look for?

-Is there anything else I might need for this conversion?

I haven't run the Ofna wheels, but the HPI Universal hex wheels fit just fine.

Are you speaking of the HPI 106191? Are you sure the offset is correct?

the wheels for the Firestorm? Thanks, I'll have to look into that. Would a deeper offset forcing the wheels out in a wider stance cause the axles to snap? I'll have to look up the Hyper 10TT offsets to compare with the T4.

Blinky is running your ESC with no advanced timing. Some ESC's have a light that blinks, some dont.

No, that's a SC wheel. Look at the HPI3051 as an example.

brent701 - I'd love to get some of the DE wheels. The trouble is, some of us need wheels now. This is what's available and works right now.

Installing the 0 degree rear hubs on my FT T4 and I am not sure if I installed correctly. None of the part bags came with instructions.

Looks to me like you have the top (carbon) piece on the wrong side. It should be on the front.

I ordered a set of the HPI wheels. I'll see how they match up with the DE wheels and let you all know
