I had some mad glitching problems last night. I am running a tekin rs with a glitch buster cap and futaba 4pl. Any other suggestions that might cause this glitch? I suspect it is my Hobbypartz Solar servo. Does that make sense? I have a Savox I can throw in.

What exactly was happening? Throttle cut out? Jittery servo?

It doesn't hurt to swap electronics in trying to isolate the problem. Definitely try the savox.

Seems to be an issue with some high power digital servos drawing too much amperage, causing brownouts. I had a similar problem while using a Spectrum 6040 servo. Switched to a Savox, the problem went away. Supposedly the Spectrum is a rebranded Savox, go figure.

Adding a cap was only a temp fix in my case. A BEC will fix the problem, but I didn't care for the setup. ymmv

Throttle would cut. Or my servo would stick turning and i would go in a circle. Sometimes it was just laggy. I had about 5-6 glitches in a 6 min race. It happened first and second race and then the third race of the night it was fine. Not sure what the deal is. I tried 2 different glitch buster caps one spektrum and a racers edge. I use the same setup on my other cars and they did not have a problem. While in the pits I left my buggy on with the hood off and noticed the green light on the futaba reciever would go RED and then my Tekin would restart itself, then the light goes green again. I suspect this is what it was doing while i was racing.

I dont mind adding a BEC if it is necessary. I'll try swapping in the savox servo first. I had been planning to do that anyway.

I a weird issue with a Tekin RS Pro where it turns the Rx on and has power but shows no lights, and I have hot wired and mapped it multiple times, soldered and resoldered connections still nothing but the servo works just fine, but the servo will stutter for a short period on and off? Any help out there?

Not a prob man... im glad to help... Many people over look that Sponsored drivers are also suppose to be helping out other racers with setups, giving them info, help with fixing there cars if they have probs, or giving them advice on what changes will do to a car. They only look at there finishing spot or how they drive, Team drivers are the companys reps and in my eyes a team driver with Good driving skills and attiude, approachable and will help anybody is alot better rep then a driver that can driver better but acts like his sh** dont stink and wont help others..

Example see how Kdub interacts with the forum.. he doesnt have to.. but he does... not only does it help people on here but it makes u think to try avid products..right??

But ya is ur servo centering back??

I yet have broken a servo horn "knock on wood". same with the rc8.2 thers nothing wrong with the plastic.. actually something to think about is haveing the right gemoetrey.. make sure if you do go with a alum horn that it doesnt change the height,or other setting from stock... Also dont get be suprised or shock that u break a servo cause now it can happen cause now there is no more flex area at all all the stress is on the servo gears.. specially if u have a servo that has all metal gears except 1 plastic, alot of them do.. think about it..

I'm gonna guess it's your RX, not your ESC.

By remapping do you mean you installed a different firmware? Are you running 233 currently?

I have seen this happen with a bad stator for a motor. Try a different motor too.

I've trying to figure out the best deal. I bought a B4.1 as a rtr. Since then I've upgraded the front brace, Avid rack, turn buckles, ball cups, battery strap, and ball diff. To get it closer to a Worlds, I still need a longer chassis, shocks and hubs. Would I b better off just buying a Worlds for 250 and sell mine or keep upgrading? Thx

I justify buying another car buy reasoning with my self that parts are expensive and not around when you need them so buy a parts car! Take your RTR and use for back up, worlds is a great rig!
