Is it slotted more than the stock plates for more gearing options?

Just my $.02 take it for what ita worth

Nailed it on the head there

Hey question for you guys, I got a gear diff I'm rebuilding what would you recommend replacing the oil with in it?

Also im pretty positive it needs to be replaced because when you spin the tires opposite directions it feels like there is nothing there... wouldn't that give me a sign it needs to be replaced.

So if I do need to replace it what should I replace it with? Got told 30,000 but just wanted to make sure that's about right.. I just have a 17.5 sensored motor..

Also when I give it throttle it like stutters then goes... But if the diff needs new oil wouldn't that be why.

I'm switching to a non boosted 13.5 Fantom Apex motor this weekend for the first time. I've been running my Apex 17.5 in blinky with good success geared at 30/72. Our outdoor track is fairly good size but pretty tight. The soil is a clay sand mix that gets pretty loamy in the corners. Does anyone have a good gear combo for a 13.5 that would work good for me?

A diff won't cause a stutter, that sounds like problem with the sensor setup.

If the fluid is thin enough, it can feel like there isnt anything in the diff.
Also, 30k wt I believe is far too heavy for racing.
should be looking at something below 7k wt (at the most).

Thanks for the info. I am going to be racing and hopefully I can figure out how to drive an off road buggy. A 3300 motor is in the car and I haven't quite figured out the temp. thing. I am used to the old days of brushed motors that you geared to dump your batteries just after time was up.

Is a Reedy 6.5 way too much motor for the B4.1?

You can turn it down, but yes I would consider it overkill.

I have a hard time believing this as I ran a sonic 8.5 and was having a hard time keeping up with guys with 7.5's. Must be my skills though.
On another note, anyone want to trade a like new Reedy Sonic 6.5 for a 7.5 or 8.5 Sonic? Thanks
